RE: Should I use my VOTE as PAYMENT for GAMBLING - or MY OWN Money?
What is very obvious, is the community is interested in this topic. @beanz posted about this topic, and her post has more comments than any trending article on the site. (Plus it was flagged early and often.)
Nobody on this post is encouraging anyone to start a war.. thats why her post was flagged (as far as I can tell). We all have different opinions on everything Steem related - but at the end of the day - its Steem Inc who makes the meaningful decisions - we are merely users. If users start acting like vigilantes it could get very ugly in here. I like that people are discussing theses issues - if everyone thought like everyone else - life would be boring!
I agree that it is good that we all think differently, and yet, the vast majority of the community was able to continue to discuss the issue, a flag war never happened, and many saw the post, and discussed the topic anyway.
The flagging was unnecessary and actually brought more attention to the issue. It is typical behavior of these flaggers, when they could just type their thoughts on the topic like the rest of the community manages to do.
Adults manage to discuss issues, as has happened here and on beanz post, the community has shown we do not need to be flagged into good behavior.
