I see where you are coming from, and to an extent I totally agree, but it isn't pacifism if you defend yourself. We need 1. Non-aggression principal and 2. (if necessary) the Self-defense principal.

Voluntary association should be the goal at all times. Voluntary association is ALWAYS preferable to violent coercion. Self-defense is not violent coercion though.
