Towards Voluntaryism (Part 12)

As a member of the student body there are many actions you can take that a member of the general population or faculty cannot. Students can support and engage with members of the public and also employ many tactics suggested for the same. Especially in the area of information gathering, students frequently have greater access and more insight into what is happening on campus as a whole than any other group, precisely because they are the most exposed to the influence of faculty and staff.

What Can I Do as a Member of the Student Body? (2)

  • 2A. Directly engage with the University Senate and Board of Trustees by bringing motions for change or transformation of the university environment, curricula and mission.

  • 2B. Become involved in student government to achieve a voice in the University Senate.

  • 2C. Get involved in student groups that represent the interests you wish to see promoted.

  • 2D. Become familiar with your professors' published works. Be aware of their social and political biases and how it affects their teaching and research. Research their academic pedigree, i.e. their dissertation supervisors and those they thanked in the forward for their social and political biases.

  • 2E. Record or write down notable examples of social and political advocacy during their lectures. Consider if their comments could be considered advocacy of violence or discrimination against any group of people based on their sex, race, gender, ethnicity etc. Pay special attention to ethnic, religious, sexual or gender discriminatory hate speech applied to groups of people rather than individuals in order to stereotype broad swathes of the public as transgressors and victimizers of others. Buzzwords include such terms as "postmodern", "Marxist", "class struggle", "racism", "identity politics", "queer", "cis-gender", "colonializers", "cultural (mis)appropriators", "ableists", "ageists", "trans-phobics", "cis-sexists", "ethnocentrists", "privileged", "intersectional" etc.

  • 2F. Record any confrontational interaction with a professor, lecturer or graduate assistant during their lectures or seminars that you or others are involved in. Use logic or humor in the form of the language of social justice to blunt social justice attacks.

  • 2G. If or when sufficient cause is given, formulate a letter of complaint, consider the following when doing so:

  • Include a numbered and dated listing of all events, instances of discriminatory behavior and inappropriate social or political advocacy for the area of study and explain how they are considered inappropriate.

  • Compare your list of transgressions with the university code of conduct, guidelines for faculty and the university itself as provided for by law and identify any institutional rules, regulations, statutes or laws that may have been violated.

  • Send a copy of the letter to: the department head, the dean of the school, all members of the University Senate, all members of the Board of Trustees, the University President, the Head of Human Resources, the university newspaper, the local newspaper, the state newspaper, the internet platform Campus Reform, The College Fix and any other venue you may deem appropriate. If you go this route, be aware that you must have all your ducks in a row, this will result in a total shit-storm. Be prepared.

  • Carefully document any and all interaction with staff and administration. Maintain records of all communication. Get everything in writing. Record all conversations.

  • Keep in mind in the current academic and affirmative action environment, actual academic qualifications can take a back seat to fulfilling the diversity quota / ideological paradigm of many institutions. If a professor can be demonstrated to be actually incompetent in fulfilling their duties, be it in teaching, research or consulting, it may be considered grounds for termination. Further, examples of plagiarism, falsifying results or illegal activity even on the part of a tenured professor can result in summary termination via the Board of Trustees (though a long drawn out process is more likely).

  • 2H. Organize with like-minded peers. Some students may choose be openly active in opposing the Cultural Marxist agenda, others may decide to discretely participate in their organizations for inside information and evidence of malfeasance, harmful or illegal intent, or any behavior that would conflict with the university code of conduct, regulations or the law.

  • 2I. If you need legal representation, call around and ask for a pro-bono representation by a lawyer who will take a cut of any settlement. Since universities tend to settle if at all possible to limit a larger settlement and curtail bad press, it is possible your legal costs will be zero.

  • 2J. If reason and logic are insufficient to affect positive change (which is frequently the case with radical leftists), do not hesitate to use the leftist terminology of victimhood to support your cause until the scourge has been eliminated from the university and it is possible to restore rational debate. i.e. Fight fire with fire only if necessary. It may be advisable to be open about doing so as a form of ridicule and mockery, as it may provoke irrational self-destructive behavior that can be recorded as evidence of incompetence or ideological bias.

  • 2K. Consider the suggestions for the general public above for additional vectors of approach to educational reform.

  • 2L. Do not register for social justice, cultural Marxist courses at all. Classes necessitate a minimum number of participants to take place. Compare this with 1Q and determine a course of action.

  • 2M. File formal complaints about any courses incorporating objectionable ideologies, that advocate violence or promote political activism for grades or credit and that are required for fulfilling degree requirements as a form of bias.
