RE: Vocab-ability–40 (clar = clear) – A More Powerful Vocabulary (earn UpVotes with “Vocab Practice” exercise)

in #vocab-ability6 years ago

MY VOCAB PRACTICE.

  1. Clarify
When the heavy fog began to clarify, we were excited to see our friends again.
  2. Declare
The airport had us declare our bedroom toys.
  3. Clairvoyant
The clairvoyant had found our missing daughter by seeing our smart phone GPS tracker in her mind.
  4. Clairvoyance
The magician had used her clairvoyance to win every poker game in the world series.

Your usage in #1 is not entirely correct. You creativity in the following 3 is noted and appreciated. Particularly #2.

I think I was trying something awkward for #1. Thanks for clarifying that it doesn't work really well :) glad you enjoyed my homework hahhaa

Learning language inevitably involves trail and error. Lots of errors!! Anyone hesitant to try new expressions and fearful of making errors will not learn much.

And I appreciate the effort.

Generally, we say the "fog began to LIFT."
