RE: Vocab-ability–179 (phobia = fear, aversion to) – A More Powerful Vocabulary (earn UpVotes with “Vocab Practice” exercise)
MY VOCAB PRACTICE:
- An elevator malfunction can trigger an episode of claustrophobia in some people.
- Mike never before felt claustrophobic until his buddies packed him into a small wooden box as a prank.
- John was so tall, he often joked that looking down triggered his acrophobia.
- In most cases, persons xenophobia is more related to their fear of unknown rather than conscious prejudice.
- I once wondered, how do someone inflicted by hydrophobia take a bath.
Good work!
