PRACTICE VLOG | Learning advanced technologies for research, Day 3 | VLOG # 9

in #vlog6 years ago (edited)

Hey there!
A recap of the final day of training is here! In this video you will see my training in VIRTUAL REALITY, ELECTROMAGNETIC STIMULATION, and IMMERSIVE VIDEO ENVIRONMENT!
I was finishing up this final vlog of my academic training series I realised that I have never even mentioned what I really do or what this training is all about. SO do expect a one-on-one vlog with me telling you all about my academic background, career and research interests.

I'm also thinking of starting to bring some knowledge into the platform, so more interesting insights on communication, language, multimodality and cognition are in store! Interested? Let me know! :)

hello interesting material :P waiting for more of thats :P

If you can support me :P

I am amazed by the way you explain everything! Great job =)

Interesants video, ceru sagaidīt tavu nākamo kur pastāstīsi ko tu dari.

Super, milzīgs paldies! :)

Wow, Google Street View in VR must be really cool. I had the PlayStation VR for a short time and it was pretty fun but I sold it again.
The first time I tried it with a racing game at Gamescom it was really weird and I felt little bit sick after using it^^

Indeed, we had to take ginger pills before we started training in order not to get dizzy! :)) Why in te world did you sell it? I was so fascinated how cool gaming there could be!!

Ginger pills? HAven't heard about that method before... I only bought it for Gran Turismo but the VR support was not as it was promised in the commercials that's why I sold it again.

Yap, I also had no idea but apparently ginger helps with dizziness! I see, it makes sense then. I am sure that soon enough quality will improve dramatically! :)

Nice. Definitely bring the knowledge. Very interested :)

Awesome, thank you for the interest! I really appreciate that! :))

I used to have the Vive! (VR) I would invite my macho friends over and watch them cry when they tried the horror games haha

That electro-stim looks intense! Crazy how much her arm is moving! Kind of creepy too... you could basically control all of someone's movements with something like that eek!

OMG, I never thought of such clever use of V, it sounds genius! Definitely would love to see some of the reactions and those stallions running around like little scared hamsters. :)
EMS left the biggest impression on me too, if it is used outside fo research I cannot think of any "honest" scenario when it could do some good. :D

running around like little scared hamsters.

hahahah

And yeah that's quite odd but hey that's part of the future - eek!
