One Yeti's Perspective 2-5-18: Did Jesus have MORE purpose than we think

in #vlog8 years ago (edited)

THIS IS A VIDEO^^^^^

Yesterday I had a great long meditation outside in the morning sun. My mind began to drift and I started having wonderful thoughts. One of my many thoughts was about the idea of Jesus coming to earth.

Could it be possible that it isn't quite as simple as we think. If we imagine God and salvation in a reference to sin, what if we imagine in terms of light and dark. What if when Jesus came it was actually to restore balance to the whole earth. In John 3:17 He says "not to condemn the world but that the whole world might be saved through Him" what if that isn't speaking about the people but the planet?

I absolutely think one of the wives had to have nephilim blood. How else would all of those Giants have been in the promised land? And the reasoning for eradication of them, their women, and children and sometimes their livestock. I believe they were beginning to corrupt all things again. Just a sidenote...the Jews are only the tribe of Judah. The Israelites or Hebrews are all the tribes. And I believe part of the reason Jesus came was to bring all those scattered tribes back into covenant with Him. He says, "I came but for the lost tribes of Israel."

Nice! I love trying to think about what else he was doing. If Jesus said first for the Jew and then the gentile what was he referencing. Is it possible that His message was more than just salvation but balance. If He came for the lost tribes of Isreal what would the limit of that be. Would you say everyone in the world is part of the tribes?

I think it was Paul who said it in Romans (Jew first, then Gentile)but Jesus definitely brought hope and light back to the world. If our sin brings death, then only the blood of THE sacrificial lamb can wash that clean. I believe the lost tribes were gentiles. They had assimilated into the land. They had been exiled and worshipped the gods of the land. For me, it goes all the way back to anyone who wants to follow Gods ways and obeys Him and chooses Him, becomes one of His. Those Egyptians that left with them in Exodus, Rahab, Ruth etc. they made a choice and He accepts those who choose Him as their God. We too have been on a journey out of "churchianity" to Truth. Constant learning journey. Love to see you searching. For that is when we find Him, when we seek with our whole hearts.

I love you phrase "churchianity", it really suits an ideology. It is pretty incredible to try to wrap our finite minds around an infinate creator. If we keep loojing I am sure God will continue to reveal himself to us. I am not too sure that many things today are going how God intended

Love this type of discussion. Great thoughts in the videos. I think we all need to discuss and think about topics like this. We will not always agree but how can we learn if we are not willing to communicate with each other.

I think Jesus came to show us how to live. He was the perfect sacrifice for our sins because he was without sin. That means he lived a perfect life. He set the example for us to follow. I agree the world was falling into darkness so God sent His LIGHT Jesus to earth to shed light on salvation and how to live a life that brings honor to the Father. Keep up the good work Yeti!

I appreciate that you contemplate things of the Scripture. However I would urge you to reconsider whether is it possible to be close to Christ without being close to Christianity. There is, of course, a ton of so-called Christian movements that are not at all of Christ. But Christ loved the church and gave Himself for it. It becomes us to seek out what it that church he said he would build and unite with it.
I wrote my daily walk with God on this subject today. I will post it in a week or so.
Blessings.

Yeah, I don't know. Christianity is a label and not so much an accurate representation of the Church or the Body. It has been adulterated by the world and currupted to the point of almost completely undoing Jesus' message. To say that someone is a faithful believer in Jesus shouldn't make them a Christian per se, as much as labeling ourselves simple as Christians means we love Jesus. It is about God meeting us where we are. If someone needa a brick and mortar building and a label to feel secure in their belief I completely support. If someone told me that they Love Jesus but don't support the B and M steucture and labels I support that also.

I support everyone's right to worship God according to the dictates of their own conscience. But there are some warnings a person ought to take seriously. One of them being that Jesus is the only way to heaven and the Bible is the only way to Jesus. Christ gave the disciples a threefold commission: 1. To teach all nations (concerning the gospel of Jesus Christ) 2. Baptize those who believe that gospel (that is a local, physical event) 3. Teach those who have believed and are baptized to observe (means practice and obey) all things whatsoever Jesus commanded. We should not pick and choose through the Bible those things we agree with and those things we take issue with. We need to practice and obey (as we understand them) all things we are taught in the Bible.
