DJI Ronin-S | Christmas Comes Early
DJI has been a leader in gimbal technology for a long, long time but many of us have been searching for the right gimbal to use with DSLR cameras. I had previously purchased and tried the Zhiyun Crane 2 and frankly just felt like it was quite fully developed software wise. It had follow focus that didn't work correctly with cameras, etc so when DJI released the info on the Ronin-S I was watching closely for many months for the release. Finally, on May 29th, the emails dropped that they were taking pre-orders and I got my name in the hat. 30 days later, the door bell rang.

Wow nice video. I'm a big fan of these. I have the SmoothQ for my Android and what a difference. Do you think the Olympus TG 4 or 5 will fit the Ronnin-S?
It will handle a payload of 8 lbs so it's made for heavier DSLR style cameras. Probably a bit too big for the TG 4 or 5. In fact, the unit itself weighs 3.3lbs haha, so it would be overkill for the Olympus you listed.

Still gotta get used to it as it's damn heavy (both combined)T-T The one you got, just imagine to carry it around, I already cry hard inside. A staff at the camera shop I went the other day told me Ronin is the BEAST tho. Like, if you flip, jump and or pakour whatever, it stays still LOL Thanks for letting viewers know at the min 3.55, my English sucks so I would have died already if you hadn't revealed that it's a joke! LMAO ❤ ps. I wrote an essay -o-
Thanks! Great tools to have around if you put them to work. I'm getting ready to put this one to work a bit more :) I've had a Smooth Q that I use for gopro and cellphone work and that has worked great, but wanted something bigger for my DSLR cameras. I love it so far but it is pretty big.

I have the Zhiyun Crane 2 which I love, but Ronin S is definitely next level. Merry Christmas, Cap! Lol
Yeah I had the Crane 2 and just was never a fan. I felt like it really lacked in the software side of things, but I have to say one of the thing DJI does really well is there software. And Dude, that follow focus works like butter on the Ronin-S.
