The Moment When You Find One Of Your Favourite Albums On Vinyl

This all happened exactly one year ago in the South West of England. A seaside town called Paignton.

The album is by a band called Baggers ITA and the album was called Bad Karma. It is a brilliant alternative punk album released in 1994.

The 1990s was not really the period for vinyl. Major music shops were phasing or had phased it out. This was the age of CD. That is why I was surprised to see a vinyl copy in a local music shop. Only £7. I would have paid more. Good condition too.

It is a great album and I really recommend giving it a listen.

The photograph was taken by the Godfather, otherwise known as Charles. He had decided to visit Paignton that weekend.

There was no heatwave last year. I was cold. Living in the United Arab Emirates for two years had got me used me to warmer climates. However, I'm glad to have had some cooler weather that time.

Robbie, our boy, didn't want to sleep that evening, so we took him outside to help him sleep. It didn't work at first but eventually he nods off.

Charles, the Godfather, has a sense of humour. He allows us to take a picture of him in front of this Agatha Christie poster.

A great weekend had by all. There is no trip to England this year as Robbie is expecting a little brother in November.

So there we are. A great album and also some great memories of the time I went home for a bit.
