Winter in the Black Forest -- 4K Nature Video !!!

Hi folks,

here is a movie from a recent freezing cold weekend recorded near Pforzheim in Southern Germany. As mentioned in my previous posts I bought a compact DJI Mavic Air for occasional and casual filmmaking on the road. So here is the new movie recorded entirely with this quadcopter, enjoy it:

The name Pforzheim is derived from ancient Roman Portus which stands for the Gate to the Black Forest, which this - my hometown - literally is.

The Mavic Air is awesome copter. Full of high-tech and features, such as three stereo camera pairs for obstacle and collusion detection at the front, the back and the bottom side. It is capable to record 4k @ 30 FpS with the three axis gimbal stabilized 12 MPix camera (data rate of 100 Mbit/s !) and the image quality of the footage really surprised me a lot.

The DJI Mavic Air has foldable arms and folded it literally fits in a palm. Also the hand controller which is normally used with the smartphone is very compact. The size and the capability to shoot such stunning mechanical stabilized 4K footage in my opinion is this drone's biggest advantage. It has a lot of special video and photo capture modes (e.g. full automatic 360 degree panorama shoots), active tracking

with collision avoidance functionality of several moving objects and much much more.

and view angles, totally impossible from the ground.
