Why I Don't Use Or Support Platforms Like Patreon and GoFundMe | DTube Exclusive

Someone sent me a video yesterday which really got me fired up to film this haha. A fellow South African is asking people for R35 000 on GoFundMe so that she can go have a holiday in Bali. With all the poverty in our country I really have to wonder if donating to someone's holiday vs donating to a good cause is really ethical?
I should also say that now and again I see a really awesome initiate on GoFundMe which aims to help those who REALLY need it. That is worth a donation and is obviously not what I am speaking about in this video.

In July I will fly to Paris to travel Europe and watch the Tour de France. I know that a lot of my followers on DTube and Steemit are from Europe, so it would be great to meet some of you while I am there!
