A Ride To The Sunset And Back
I figured out how to do a time lapsed sunset but it didn’t sound right so I’m learning how to add sound effects—this should get interesting.
I put the GoPro Hero 5 on the handlebars and set the auto shutter to take pictures once every 30 seconds to and from the sunset. We spent about two hours trying to stay awake on the beach as the sun dropped while random, unowned dogs stopped by for a quick game of fetch while the sunset was being photographed once every 60 seconds. As soon as the sun went down it began pouring rain on us so we took off before we couldn’t!
I recorded it in three sections—the peddle to the beach, the sunset, and the peddle back. I created three different slide shows in Splice and then pasted them together in iMovie where I could add some effects and do all of the speed adjustments. I considered adding #music but it sounded like bicycle peddles, birds, some monkeys and a thunder storm out there.

I like the natural sounds with this one. :) Very cool to see! There's not much that beats sunset on the beach. Though sunrise in the mountains isn't so bad either as that is one I've seen more recently in person. ;)

Hello to the coolest guy I know from Guanacaste Province de Costa Rica.
Even if I knew 1,000,0000,0000,000 people living in Guanacaste Province, I've got a feeling you would still be the coolest.
Nice video, if I may, the first clips were a little too quick for me. By the time these senior citizen eyes had a chance to focus, the next pic was already popping up.
There are two ways to look at the rain showers you guys peddled through on the way home, this feels great, or why the heck didn't we leave the beach a little earlier.

Had most of the family up for an extended Memorial Day weekend, great time had by all.
The house is totally empty now, and even #farm-mom went back to NJ.
After a very fun filled 4 days, I must admit that the solitude feels pretty good.
Cool guys can typically spot a cool guy from gigabytes away. 👍🏿
If you could describe what that solitude sounds like, how would it read?
They were a little too fast eh? Fair enough, in the middle of learning how to do the editing, I think I was trying to resemble a bicycle ride. Transitions are something I need more practice with. I can’t wait to capture another sunset though! Time lapsing that was a lot of fun.
