Mission Statement

@shadow3scalpel is a community account created for @rakkasan84 with the help of @guiltyparties in October 2017. My mission for the account was to help military veterans from all over the world by curating posts from a list of all known on Steemit. All SP gained from curating these posts goes back into the account to increase the rewards given out to our veterans. All SBD earned on the account goes to help fund veterans contests on Steemit, and any reserves are maintained to help any of our veterans in financial need. This is NOT a for-profit account, and @rakkasan84 will never use funds from this account for anything but to help veterans.

We have recently made some changes to @shadow3scalpel to help reward our most active and supportive veterans. As you may know, operating a witness on Steemit is very challenging and often goes unrewarded. One of our recent changes to be eligible for curation is to vote for our veteran witnesses. @rakkasan84 does not operate a witness, but believes in supporting all of our veteran witnesses and reached a consensus with other Leaders in the veteran's community.

Another change we have made is to make it manditory to help support other veterans within the community. You may do so by joining our curation trail, delegating at least 25 SP, or upvoting at least 5 veterans a week at 100%. The curation trail is managed by @rakkasan84 and it will be observed frequently for abuse or otherwise unsavory behavior. These changes will help reward our most active and supportive veterans, and hopefully inspire others to be more involved. We have also opened up curation to non-veterans that support our witnesses and veterans on Steemit.

This is a current list of requirements for curation:

New Requirements for Veterans

#1 Must vote for our veteran witnesses on www.steemit.com/~witnesses

• To vote for our veteran witnesses, go to https://steemit.com/~witnesses

• Scroll down to the bottom, and input their name in this box below (no @ symbol)

#2 Must support your fellow veterans

• Give a 100% upvote for at least 5 different veteran's posts each week, join our curation trail on steemauto.com with a minimum 5% upvote, OR delegate at least 25 SP to @shadow3scalpel or @umvbot

#Non-Veteran Requirements

#1 Must vote for our veteran witnesses on www.steemit.com/~witnesses

These guidelines are subject to change as our community develops. Any changes implemented will be approved by @rakkasan84 and other community leaders.

Goals

• Curate posts from a list of our most active and supportive veterans and non-veteran supporters.
• Help fund veteran's contests hosted by @inthenow
• Any SP gathered on the account is accumulated to help give out more rewards to veterans through curation
• Any SBD accumulated on the account that is not used for funding the veterans contests will be saved to help a veteran in financial crisis.
• Any changes made will be in the best interest of the veteran's community. Changes will be approved by @rakkasan84 and other community leaders.

The discord server is private server primarily for military veterans only, but we make exceptions for outstanding veteran supporters. Our veterans are exceptionally dedicated to meeting their own goals on the platform and supporting their fellow veterans.
