Rain over Caracas and electrical failures

I am on the outskirts of Caracas, I have lived for years in the same area, but in recent times there is a change that has been very annoying.

They may believe that there is a "cable flu" or that it has a "cold electrical transformer" ... because those crazy phrases are things we already use as a joke because as soon as it rains the electricity fails, almost as if the cables get sick.

Memories

In previous years the electricity failed, in fact, my older relatives taught me how to make handmade lamps, torches for sidewalks and walls and other luminaires that they had learned from other people older than them at the time.

So in a way I felt in those occasional blackouts as if I connected with a tradition we had since the nineteenth century ... But now we are in the 21st century and it is unacceptable that this situation is repeatedly presented.

The actuality

Well, it may be unacceptable, but it is what is happening.

In the 21st century, in the Information Age, in the prelude to the global revolution of the blockchain, I have to worry every time it rains because I run out of electricity, so you can not advance in the work.

This ridiculous current situation of having had one of the most important hydroelectric power plants in the region in the 20th century and now having service failures even in the nation's capital, is unacceptable.

I know that what I do is pure catharsis, I want to let off steam by taking advantage of the return of electricity, although here it comes and goes with a dangerous frequency (danger of damage to the equipment). But, it is the only thing that I have at hand, to say what I consider to be wrong and to wish that upon knowing it, it can be visivilized and pushed to find some solution by those responsible.

It must be so frustrating to live with this problem. We are so used to have constant electricity that we don't know how much we depend on it. There was a big storm in my country some 15 years ago and it marked me cos we stayed 1 week without electricity.
I still remember how I sat in front of tv and was surprised it didnt switch on... you must be living this every day...

If it is a big problem, in the twentieth century I lived the experience of several electric blackouts, but nowadays it is a daily thing, there are young students that I have in the university who are getting used to what is "normal" not to have certainty of that we have electricity ... that is frustrating and scary to think that they resign themselves and assume that "the world is like that"

Are you and your family safe?

As for the matter of the power shortage, indeed, in the 21st century little do we imagine it can happen. But many countries have the same problems, and this is a great blow to life all the citizens affected.

I greatly hope that every and each of your loved one is safe and sound, @djennyfloro.

Thank you for the comment, for the concern and good wishes.

A paradoxical detail of the situation in Venezuela is that with the poor living conditions and the "achievement" of being for more than 4 consecutive years classified as the "most miserable economy in the world", we present the most numerous and fastest migration of all the region ... In just less than 3 years, we left about 4.5 million people, I think they are almost 15% of the total population.

I comment on the above, because a lot of my family left, so they don't have to go through this situation. They live the problems of every migrant, but they are in other realities.

It is true that this problem of electric service is not exclusive to Venezuela, but I find it outrageous that we are so decayed, if some rulers are not able to increase the level and quality of life of their citizens at least they should not actively try to lower it and Destroy everything in its path.

Hello dear professor @pedrobrito2004, this generalized situation throughout our country makes us feel helpless, the saddest thing is that like many things in our country, the national electrical system has deteriorated some years ago and we do not see reactions from the national government that Implement projects to solve this progressive deterioration.

Friend, the situation in the country is very sad and I do not know how long this will last.
@fucho80

You're right, that's why I mentioned at the end that I was just writing to vent, because I don't see a solution and it doesn't seem that those who govern us are interested in solving the problems.

Well, it may be unacceptable, but it is what is happening.
In the 21st century, in the Information Age, in the prelude to the global revolution of the blockchain,

So very well put for much of what is happening in the world today.

@pedrobrito2004, Unfortunate to hear that and it's reflecting as Weather Conditions are reflecting dynamic essence all over the world. Good to know that you are using the natural way to fight with this situation. Hope that soon everything will be fine. Stay blessed.
