The wonderful people of the lush and fertile land of Venezuela are starving. Why? Drought? Pests? War? No. They're hungry because of government corruption.

I'm also dedicating most of my own Steem Power toward this issue right now. There are about a dozen Venezuelan accounts I am watching and upvoting. There is plenty of worthy content, and no shortage of need. Any help with that would be appreciated.

A few more stories

One reason I want to share the stories of real Venezuelans within the economic collapse is to bring attention to the problem. The media of the world (here in Canada and everywhere else) is NOT talking about this situation very much. If they ever do, very little truth is shown. The crimes of the government are not mentioned. Price-fixing, which always leads to supply and demand problems in a system, is not identified as the culprit. When the government tries to set (fix) the price of something, corruption and instability always result. We must learn this lesson! And we must stop allowing governments to purposely ruin economies this way, to destabilize people, to maintain control!

My "little sister" told me she's saving up to buy supplies, a new outfit, and food for her family. It is time for a new year at high school. Without Steem she would not have hope to obtain these items. I REALLY wish I could do more to help her.

Another of my friends, who is a teacher, told me she went to the grocery store with money to buy milk for her baby. After waiting in long lines, she was told the price, and it was much too high. She went home feeling very depressed. Her teacher salary is only $2 USD per month!

Many Venezuelans have planted gardens in their yards and out in nature, for an another food source. In many cases, the food is stolen from the garden by hungry thieves.

Major disruptions to all markets have occurred. The reality of prices has dislocated from the official prices for many things. Desperation in the people sometimes leads to crime, and often that allows harsh reactions from government officials. New government policies are said to be the solution, but in reality, all the policies and interventions are the PROBLEM!

Take the example of alcohol. Many Venezuelans partake in this substance for recreational reasons, because it is considered legal, and it can be obtained in most places. But today, the price has risen so high, to have a tiny sip of cheap booze is considered a luxury.

2 requests for my Venezuelan friends...

Will you please help me with two things?

1. Pictures or video of Venezuelan grocery stores. Especially showing lineups, inflation pricing, large piles of paper currency, or empty store shelves. These things are unfortunate and depressing, but we must not ignore them. It is important that we face reality, whatever that is. (Don't get in trouble to obtain pictures, of course. If you can't do this, it's okay.)
2. What is the actual price of gold in Venezuela? Not gold certificates, or gold paper, or gold investments, or gold funds. How much for physical gold metal? For example, how much for 1 troy ounce (1 oz)? How much for 1 gram (1 g)? The official rate is 12000 bol/oz or 385 bol/g. I think the real price (in coin stores, banks, markets, private sales, etc) is actually higher. Any information about this would be great. If you also have any information about silver, excellent.

How do you transfer from STEEM to Bolivar?

This is a question I'm researching in depth. Many people are using Steemit to earn cryptocurrency, and they don't know how to turn their Steem into their local currency.

Some people want to deposit their funds into a bank account. Others want cash. Others simply want food, medicine, and supplies.

Some people transfer their Steem into Bitcoin first. Then, the Bitcoin can be easily spent in many places, or converted to the local currency.

Algunas historias más

Una razón que quiero compartir las historias de verdaderos venezolanos en el colapso económico es para llamar la atención sobre el problema. Los medios de comunicación del mundo (aquí en Canadá y en todas partes) no está hablando acerca de esta situación mucho. Si lo hacen alguna vez, se muestra muy poca verdad. No se mencionan los crímenes del gobierno. Fijación de precios, que siempre conduce a problemas de oferta y demanda en un sistema, no se identifica como el culpable. Cuando el gobierno intenta fijar (fix) el precio de algo, la corrupción y la inestabilidad siempre resultan. ¡Debemos aprender esta lección! Y debemos dejar de permitir que los gobiernos deliberadamente arruinar las economías así, para desestabilizar a la gente, para mantener el control!

Mi "hermanita" me dijo ella está ahorrando para comprar suministros, un traje nuevo y alimento para su familia. Es el momento para un nuevo año en high School secundaria. Sin Steem ella no habría esperanza obtener estos elementos. REALMENTE deseo que podría hacer más para ayudarla.

Otro de mis amigos, que es un maestro, me dijo que ella fue a la tienda con dinero para comprar leche para su bebé. Después de esperar en largas colas, le dijeron el precio, y era mucho demasiado alta. Ella fue a su casa sintiendo muy deprimida. ¡Su sueldo de profesor es sólo $2 USD por mes!

Muchos venezolanos han plantado jardines en sus patios como en la naturaleza, de una otra fuente de alimento. En muchos casos, la comida es robada del jardín por ladrones hambrientos.

Se han producido alteraciones importantes en todos los mercados. La realidad de los precios ha desplazado de los precios oficiales para muchas cosas. Desesperación en la gente a veces lleva a la delincuencia, y permite, a menudo, fuertes reacciones desde el gobierno. Nuevas políticas de gobierno se dicen que son la solución, pero en realidad, todas las políticas y las intervenciones son EL PROBLEMA!

Tomemos el ejemplo del alcohol. Muchos venezolanos participan en esta sustancia por razones recreativas, porque se considera legal y se puede obtener en muchos lugares. Pero hoy en día, el precio ha aumentado tan alto tener un pequeño sorbo de alcohol barato es considerado un lujo.

1. Fotos o video de Venezuela tiendas de comestibles. Especialmente con alineaciones, inflación de precios, grandes montones de papel moneda, o vacíos estantes de las tiendas. 2. ¿Cuál es el precio real del oro en Venezuela? Certificados no oro, o papel de oro, u oro inversiones o fondos de oro. ¿Cuánto para metal oro físico? Por ejemplo, ¿Cuánto de 1 onza troy (1 oz)? ¿Cuánto de 1 gramo (1 g)? La tasa oficial es de 12000 bol/oz o 385 bol/g. Creo que el verdadero precio (en moneda tiendas, bancos, mercados, ventas privadas, etcetera) es realmente más alto. Cualquier información sobre este tema sería genial. Si usted también tiene información sobre plata, excelente.

¿Cómo transferir de STEEM a Bolívar?

Se trata de una cuestión que estoy investigando en profundidad. Muchas personas están utilizando Steemit para ganar cryptocurrency, y no saben cómo convertir su Steem en su moneda local.

Algunas personas quieren depositar sus fondos en una cuenta bancaria. Otros quieren dinero en efectivo. Otros simplemente quieren alimentos, medicinas y suministros.
