Vehicle Photography – 1950s-vintage car, Cuban countryside

This is my entry into the Vehicle Photography contest by @juliank.

This is, of course, Cuba, where most of the cars are those that were imported from the US before the embargo took effect. Even after half a century, the Cubans have somehow kept those classic cars running without any genuine replacement parts – simply by repairing, patching, and remodelling them with whatever works.

We were on a cycling tour in western Cuba when we passed this car. You can see 4 of my cycling partners – 3 in the distance, and 1 just past the car.
