You were right !! my taste buds didn't feel tortured at all!! It was pretty tasty indeed. It went well, so well I made it twice and ate all of it myself( not all in one meal) because my better half is away for the week but He's had a similar version of it with the forbidden fruits before... I will still make it again without when he gets back. Thanks for stopping by :)

My dad was surprised at how much he actually enjoyed it as well when he was here ;)
i will certainly try to be a regular in your challenge( my entry for this week is coming I promise!)....you are not a villain!! I like to misbehave and be a jokster...if I make jokes it's cause I like you. I'm not a vegan but because of my severe food allergies to soybeans I actually don't eat much meat at all because all the farm animals eat soya so them and their products are toxic to me (except for beef for whatever reason)so I only eat traces so I don't get sick so making vegan things is just a slight adjustment a little more strict than my already strict diet (trust me when I say soya eliminates most food as it is)
I would love that! You are certainly welcome whenever you are able to join :) I'm kind of a rebel too so I understand. You know going against the popular opinion of the world and deciding not to eat what everyone else is, is kind of a testament to my defiance ;)
That's rough about the soybeans. I read an article a little while back suggesting that soy allergies could be attributed to the chemicals and GMO crops they use. I wonder if it's that for you and if an organic, non GMO source would have the same effect. Obviously we can't test this because I wouldn't want it to negatively affect you but I do wonder... Hmmm...
On the other hand, that's the brightside and now maybe getting in on this contest and seeing the fun that can be had will open up your diet to new possibilities! I'm actually really lactose intolerant as well as gluten intolerant and I used to just cry myself to sleep thinking there was nothing for me to eat but the lovely online world really changed that for me! 💖 I'm looking forward to more creations!
lol, "crying yourself to sleep with nothing to eat" you just described my facebook page and most trips to the market(they even wash vegetables in it soy solution)...haha. Your challenge will help give me inspiration to new dishes to make.
I read something along the lines of what you read about gmo ad the chemicals used and there is definitely some element of truth to it and I firmly believe it is also true for gluten intolerance. When I was young, I don't remember being so many sick people especially kids(cancer allergies diabetes etc) While I was trying to figure out what I was allergic to I was eating lots of organic soy products and I had no issues with them, it was much of a suprise to find out soy was my allergy. As a precaution I abstain because of the risk of cross contamination and just in case I was wrong. The issue with that is with all the paid research provided is bias to favor those who control such crops/profits and every scientist making a coloration to what both you and I believe has to retract their paper or get discredited and loose their position. I like to dig in dark places and investigate things and I started pulling out statistics and dates from the cdc, epa, court cases and other government records and I made many links to the involvement and emergence of different bio-tech, also the same products have been used in war crimes in other countries are currently in our food and being dumped in rivers across North- America in the same areas where the cdc shows clusters of rare ailments in certain areas where they are produced. This can also be true towards certain vaccines (some are beneficial) but looking in third world countries and outbreaks seem to correlate with certain missions funded by certain ppl and the rare specific strain of the outbreaks was filed for patent 5-10 years before the outbreaks and owned by the same funding certain "humanitarian" projects. If you have a strong stomach and heart and can digest horrible information, you may start your search with the chemicals used in Vietnam during the war and the largest producer of such chemicals...as a hint it leads to Michigan. If you know how to search the web thoroughly you will find it in time but it takes a while and lots of cross referencing.
