"The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest his patient in the care of the human frame, in diet and in the cause and prevention of disease." Thomas A. Edison

True story. Last month I met a family doctor and I asked her. "Do you promote clean eating for people who are at high risk of getting heart attacks or strokes?" I was surprised to hear what she said. "No, pills are more effective than diet." We live in a very dangerous and confusing time when the doctors are just drug dealers with a degree.

Growing up, I was always skinny. Only after I reached 30 years old, I began to gain weight. One day I looked in the mirror and didn't like what I saw. I began a crazy exercise program and borrow many books on healthy eating from the library. However, different books saying different ideas. One book said cheese and yogourt are good because it help grow muscles; the other book said cheese and yogourt are not good because it has too much animal fat. So after my motivation for exercise died down and I was still confused on how to eat healthy. My weight increase again. Something is definitely not right. The food industry doesn't want you to know the truth, so they paid some experts to brainwash the public. After about five years of confusion, weight gain and digging for the truth, finally, I realized the real truth about healthy eating.

On the very right side of the spectrum, there are people believe the human should be eating raw vegan diet, on the very left, there are people believe the human should eat raw meat diet. The right people pointing their finger at meat and animal fat are the cause of all health problems. The left people pointing their finger at sugar are the source of all health problems. Each side presenting their own valid evidence and scientific research. Resulting, everyone is confused on what to eat and the obesity rate is sky rocketing to the moon. https://www.cnn.com/2017/10/13/health/adult-obesity-increase-study/index.html

The real key to healthy eating is cutting out all animal products and processed junk. Once you know what not to eat, you then focus on what you need to eat. And there are two major groups depending on cooking or not. The first group is Fruits and Nuts, these are food perfect for our body and no need for cooking. The 2nd group is plant-based whole food, vegetable, beans, potato, rice, pumpkin, squash...etc. These group of food required a bit of cooking to break down the fiber otherwise could be difficult to digest and absorb. These kinds of food also keep us not hungry quickly.

If we are living closer to the tropic, there are all kinds of different fruits and nuts available at low price. The raw food plan could actually work. As we go further away from the equator, the weather gets colder and colder. And you will need more food that required a bit of cooking; otherwise, it's just too difficult to digest. And to the very extreme cold the Eskimo, for them to survive they must eat meat. However, most Eskimo don't live too long. All their arteries are clogged with animal fat. And to eat a raw food diet in a colder climate would cost a lot of money due to the transportation.

In conclusion, the ideal diet is tropical vegan diet; however, it is not sustainable if you don't live close to a tropical area. That's why all the fruitarians and raw foodists are moving to Thailand for cheap fruit. For the most part of the world, plant-based whole food is the perfect solution. Please be aware that "processed" plant-based foods are still junk food. And all animal products are bad for our health. All supplements are still consider processed food. The only supplement that is needed is Vitamin B and should still choose carefully.

The paleo people gonna jump and said how can it be the perfect diet if you need supplement vitamin B. The truth is vitamin B deficiency is universal even among the meat eaters. My meat-eating wife is taking vitamin B like there is no tomorrow. The reason is modern sanitization and water treatment. We don't drink natural spring water anymore. We washed all our vegetable with chlorine water. If you can live on an organic farm and use natural spring water, then you don't need B supplement. https://nutritionfacts.org/topics/vitamin-b12/
