Raw Vegan Adventure: Why I Started To Eat Raw

My raw food path started over three years ago - I was already enjoying the plant-based lifestyle for a few years and fresh fruits and veggies were an important part of my days. But I was still eating heavier dishes like oatmeals, rice bowls or gluten-free baked goods.

At that time I was training for my first half-marathon and got a little stuck with my progress.

I stumbled across the Australian couple Janette and Allan Murray who ran a marathon every day for a whole year, in the age of 60+ and all that just on raw food!! I was blown away and super excited to try this myself.

A week into this experiment, I already felt the benefits not only in terms of performance and recovery time but also emotional and mentally - so much more balance, joy and clarity. After a few weeks, at the day of the race I fuelled up with a big banana smoothie and guess how it went.

I totally crushed it and exceeded my wildest expectations!

After that experience, there was no way I was going back to my previous eating habits. Raw food helped me to feel and perform my best in life - physically, mentally, emotionally as well as spiritually.
