Vegan Chocolate High Protein Pudding
How to get protein on a plant-based diet.
Protein is one of the easiest nutrients to get. Vegetables average around 22% protein by calorie, beans 28%, and grains 13%. Plant foods easily supply our protein needs. You don’t have to eat certain, special foods to get protein since all foods have protein. Getting enough is simply a matter of getting enough calories.
It’s true that meat has more protein than vegetables, but the extra protein in meat isn’t better, it’s useless. Let’s say you are shopping for a new car. One model goes 200 miles an hour; the other goes 400 MPH. Considering the speed limit in the U.S. is 80 mph, upgrading to the faster model is kinda pointless.
