Melbourne Vegan Restaurants - Lentil as Anything

One of my favourite vegan (technically vegetarian but with many vegan options) restaurants in Melbourne is Lentil as Anything. There have been a few Lentil's dotted around Melbourne and one in Sydney but the original is based in the Abbotsford Convent. They are a not for profit and have a "pay as you feel" system that lets you those who could not afford a meal eat as equals. They often have excellent musicians playing and also have open mic nights. They are largely staffed by volunteers and aim to give refugees and the underemployed work experience to springboard them into the Australian workforce.

Originally the Abbotsford Lentil as Anything was run as a buffet, but a couple of years ago they moved the dinner to a la carte which has led to a big jump in the quality and presentation of the meals if you only have a point of reference of their old buffet options.

If you have never been to Lentil I would thoroughly recommend a visit.
