Why am I REQUIRED to wear a mask?!
I work in a place where flu shots are no longer an option but a requirement. Before I got my job I had gone many years before receiving a flu vaccine. The first year I worked here I just agreed and got the vaccine. Then you have days after where you deal with the aching arm and flu like symptoms. The following year I politely declined as I was no long in patient contact and was confined to an office about 65% of my work days. I was then told because I declined to get it I was REQUIRED to wear a mask from October to April if I was within 10 feet of a fellow coworker or patient. I did as I was told and never questioned it. Everyday id come into work put on a mask and get the dirty glares from higher ups as they knew I was not going to comply with the crazy vaccine requirement. I then started to wonder why I have to wear a mask. If you are all vaccinated against the flu, why am I such a threat? How am I going to get you sick when you are vaccinated? I never really got an answer to these questions. Not only did this bring questions to my mind on those facts but also some other things. How is it ok to put my personal business out there? I have to wear a mask so everyone knows I did not receive my flu shot. Why is it anyone else’s business? To have people question you every day for months about why you didn’t get a flu vaccine and “Do you want to get sick and die?” PEOPLE WAKE UP!! It’s getting close to vaccine time and that’s what triggered this blog. I saw a sign in my place of employment stating starting AUGUST 30TH we have to ask patients if they want a flu shot. This blows my mind, if flu season isn’t until October why vaccinate so early? We were told everyone got the flu last year near the end of the flu season because they had given it earlier? My supervisor brought up possibly being vaccinated twice a flu season. TWICE?! Please explain to me how this is ok? How do people justify putting all these things into our body? Ever heard of Guillain-Barré syndrome? If not go look it up. I have witnessed caused by vaccinations and its not pretty...
I couldn't do it. I quit my job at that hospital where you work for lesser reasons. lol but I'm flighty AF like that. ;) I know some people cannot simply quit. It's bull shit and I really hope that the tide changes soon, but honestly I see it getting worse before it gets better.
Ask your supervisors to provide you with a study that was double blind, placebo that shows flu shots are effect... and then sit back and laugh to yourself, because no such study exists.
Have you ever read anything about flu vaccines being linked to psorasis? I've been racking my brain for a few years about this psoriasis. I just read that it's a possible trigger for flare ups. It's so funny that I never had any signs of psoriasis and until I was required to start getting the flu vaccine every year.
