The Craziest Mascleta EVER - What Is A Mascleta?
This post might cause a lot of question marks to rise and you're more than welcome to leave a comment if you would like something to be explained in more details.
So today we got lucky and got invited to see a Mascleta from a Balcony. It's one of the best ways to see it because from high up you can actually see what's going on. In the above picture you see the The Court of the Fallera Mayor, which is the queen the Fallas Festival. Not sure why they pranced around the square today though.
Mascleta what? Oh, I almost skipped over that.
This is a Mascleta:
The Mascleta is a firework held during the day and to be precises every day at 2pm from March 1st until the 19th here in Valencia, Spain. Yes EVERY single day. The louder the better, during these Mascleta finales you can actually feel a little earthquake shake. You still might think why in the name, a firework during daytime, you barely can see anything. Well, the Valencians love the sound, rhythm and the smell of these kind of fireworks.
Does that look like hell to you, it probably does but these images fill my heart with pure joy. Yes, it's insane and it doesn't make a lot of sense but there wouldn't be a Fallas with a Msascleta and the other way around.
Below you can watch the entire video but please be warned, it gets super loud. So watch the volume of your speakers or even worse your headphones.
Todays Mascleta was one of the best ones we've ever seen and we've seen probably over a 100 and yes we can still hear! He he! Below are some more photos of this crazy daytime firework:

It is .. and if this post didn't scare you away ... you're the perfect person for it. The main days are from March 15th to the 19th. And I would start now looking for a hotel or apartment because the prices during these days are CRAZY! Just like the festival itself. Stay tuned for some more Fallas posts!

Wow, that doesn't even look like a firework! That looks like...ok it looks like a firework plus paint lol. It looks kind of like the colors they throw for the Indian holi festival (you know it?)

Firework indeed . hahha.. I do have a drone but here drones are strictly forbidden .. we were standing on a balcony. When I first had a drone we got too much attention but people now are like . .. whatever!!!
Woah! this is what travel is all about! getting to see the insanity that other cultures com up with. The Gifs of the daytime fireworks are great! crazy that you have been to more than one of these haha. One day I will see this spectacle first hand. Well done, Keep up the good work!

Im really so excited to see all this stuff... you‘re doing a really good job 😂 I absolutely hate city’s and noise. But I try hard to plan everything in a way, that I can join the meetup at 12th ok valencia and see this Fallas...✌️
It would be great ... but yeah ... it's going to be pretty loud BUT the main days start on the 15th, so it won't be as crazy. But the best days are of course 15th to 19th :)
I'm free to stay if I like it ✌️ That's the nice thing when you are a full time traveller.. you don't have to leave the best places all the time 😂

Oh .. I wish that would be ours .. .. these balconies are hot properties during Fallas. You have to pay for them but we got invited for this one. Felt so grateful for that! We went back again at midnight for Mascleta seconds. Stay tuned for the video.
