RE: VACCINES: Taking A Closer Look At The Ingredients And Their Effects - Part 7 - MSG
Please forgive me but your statements need some balance. Your analytic approach of picking and choosing the risks of each component out of context and listing their possible side effects to assemble an opinion against the whole is misleading at best and culpable at worst.
I am no fan of western medicine and consider the drug companies to be among the most evil entities on the planet. But of all the horrible things they do producing vaccines is possibly one of the least damaging and most beneficial. The problem today is that we seem to have forgotten the horrors caused by these diseases.
- Diphtheria once was a major cause of illness and death among children. The United States recorded a high of 206,000 cases of diphtheria in 1921, resulting in 15,520 deaths (a case-fatality ratio of 7.5%). Diphtheria case fatality rates range from about 20% for those under age five and over age 40, to 5-10% for those aged 5-40 years. Diphtheria was the third leading cause of death in children in England and Wales in the 1930s. Diphtheria is extremely rare in the United States today; between 2004 and 2011, no cases of diphtheria were reported to public health officials. One case was provisionally reported in 2012.
- Measles can lead to complications ranging in severity from diarrhea to encephalitis (swelling of the brain), with adult patients typically being subject to more severe complications. Although the disease is rarely fatal in developed countries, mortality can be high in low-income nations. Case-fatality rates have been recorded as high as 28%, and tend to rise during wars or widespread food shortages. As recently as 2000, measles caused 1.1 million deaths globally among young children in a year’s time.
- Rubella is not normally a serious illness in children, and, in fact, its symptoms are often mild. The chief danger of the disease is Congenital Rubella Syndrome. From 1964-1965, before the development of a vaccine against the disease, a rubella epidemic swept the United States. During that short period there were 12.5 million cases of rubella. Twenty thousand children were born with CRS: 11,000 were deaf, 3,500 blind, and 1,800 mentally retarded. There were 2,100 neonatal deaths and more than 11,000 abortions – some a spontaneous result of rubella infection in the mother, and others performed surgically after women were informed of the serious risks of rubella exposure during their pregnancy.
There may well be reasons to be cautious of our drug dealers but vaccines are probably not the fish we need to be frying. I would suggest we expose the intense manipulation of the ICD-10 codes by the drug companies to create diseases to create a market for their chemicals.
When presenting the possible risks of anything it is incumbent upon the presenter to paint the picture objectively so that people can make informed decisions. If we want bias and spin we can watch the evening news!
