Introduction

Memory game is a simple ads free game for kids. It is aimed at improving kids 4+ age memory via recognition, retaining, and identifying an object. It is a card game where kids have to pick similar cards in the stack of cards available.

Components

My suggestion is based on the

• Game Category interface

Proposal

The game category interface currently have 3 categories named Animals, Monsters, and Emojis. Each of this categories have 6 difficulties level named beginner, easy, medium, hard, hardest, and master. I propose the addition of more categories and a parent category. Each of this categories will have their own specific functions.

• More Categories - the memory game application is for kids and I believe adding more categories will help improve the kids. Categories such as Colours, Shapes, Vehicles, and Country flags should be added. Unlike the present system where the kids have to select similar cards, this will be different. Kids will have to select cards matching another card with the right word.

• Parent Category - this category will give the guardian/parent the ability to create preferred card game. This will involve naming the category and creating a set of picture cards. The pictures on the cards will be set by an in-app camera.

This proposal will be further explained in the Mockups section below.

Mockups / Examples

The above image shows how the addition of new categories will look if implemented. It shows a before and after pictures.

The above image is how the Parent Category should look like. Parents should be able to upload their pictures in each of the cards.

The above image shows how the match with word game will work.

Benefits

The addition of more categories will help the kids learn things faster. This new categories revolve around humans everyday activities and with its visual representation and matching game, the kid will learn faster.

Implementing the match with name system will enable kids to also memorise the names of objects they see. Memorising the objects is not sufficient to improve the kids memory, knowing what those objects stand for does that.

Having the Parent category where Guardians/Parents will be able to add their own category is beneficial for the kids. The default game categories certainly can not cover all aspects of life. The parent category will cater for this. Parents/Guardians can add their own settings and put their own pictures. This will let the kids learn more things faster.

Conclusion

Implementing this features will ensure the application gain huge followers that will utilize it because of the numerous benefits it has to offer. It will move from a game-like application to an education inclined application.
