My 3d Logo Design for Audacity
wanted to contribute a 3D logo design for "Audacity" which I made using Autodesk 3dsMax and Corona for model and render.
Audacity isa free audio editor and recorder.
After I decided what to do. I began with 3dsmax Modelling. You can see the stages below.
I start with a sphere
squiz it down a bit.
I add a cylinder and make it editable poly.
I soften its edges.
I add a little high diffrence between.
I bend the interior of the speaker.
I use mesh smooth modifier to soften all the speaker.
I multiply a miror of speaker.
I draw an arc and use it in render mode than make it editable poly.
I add the sound waves.
I add the text and give it some thickness with shell modifier.
I attach the materials to the objects.
Rendered the view.

I need critiques for getting better. Please ruthlessly criticize.

This is outstanding post. Always a treat to see inside an artist's process, and 3D logos are cutting-edge. Being previously an advertising art director, I see excellence in your shapes here, and I admire the "A" shape found in the audio wave here. Since you asked for critique, I'm seeing some spacing issues with your typography, and I think you might find a more interesting typeface (I wonder how Futura would look). and I also see that the 3D effect is lost in your name here because the side shadow is the same color as the text color, so this would be resolved by assigning a color to the text - maybe repeat that same red value you chose in the audio wave. Solid overall, I'd say.
