Advantages of Using Steemit

I learned about Steemit last June 2017 and after browsing some older posts of the site to learn more about it, I created my account. When my account was approved, I started posting and I am still actively using the site because of its advantages over other social networking sites or blogging sites.

What are the advantages of using Steemit?

• Freedom of Expression
  

You can write on whatever topic that comes up on your mind. You can freely shares your ideas and thoughts. Almost all topics were being shared on this platform such as poems, fictional stories, arts and videos of various talents. That means even you are not really a blogger/writer, you can still post something like videos or photography.

But of course, there are still limits like plagiarized or bashing posts that could be flagged and reported.

• Rewards
  

We are aware that reward system works to fuel the passion of posting in Steemit. It is so nice to be able to share your ideas and thoughts then be rewarded. It was like a double win for the users of the site. Rewards might not comes at first or often. That is why it is important to be consistent and have the passion to learn more about how the reward system works. It is not just you posted something and expect to get rewarded, there are more things to learn about it.

• All Are Welcome
  

Anyone can sign up on the site. You will just need an internet and sign up. You can even be anonymous in your account if that is what you prefered to be known in the site. It is open to worldwide members as long as you can access the site. You can also post in whatever language you like. Which means it does not matter if you know how to write or read English.

• Active Communities
  

Lots of active Steemians were posting and engaging on various communities. You can easily search of those existing communities in the site. There were communities for various countries, same interests and curations.

There are lots of contests as well, even on a daily basis and lots of contestants. That shows how active the platform is. You just have to search for those to find some that you will want to join. You can also search through tags just like in the photo below.

• Learn About Cryptocurrencies
  

Using Steemit, you will need or surely learn about cryptocurrencies. Steem and SBD are used in its reward system. Those who have not experienced using cryptocurrencies will surely have experiences in using those currencies through using this site. You will also need to convert your earnings to Bitcoin before you can cash it out to fiat.
