Components

This suggestion has to do with the submission of a new post for the nowplaying frontend. The first milestone will be to create a frontend where you can submit a #nowplaying post in a more intuitive way than that of the steemit or busy frontends. If it is not more intuitive, there is no point to creating this custom website. Here is the first iteration of what the "create post" page will look like.

We will dive into each part of the diagram.

Title

Self explanatory, this title will include automatically the current nowplaying week. Users can add their own title if they choose.

Playlist

The playlist section includes both a search box and a spotify embedded playlist. Users can use the searchbox to search for a song and they will see their entire post's playlist to the right. We can use this post as an example. The spotify embed on the right would look like:

Body

This is the text input where one would write their normal post. It includes interpolation in the same way steemit.com does, however we will have some sort of differentiation that indicates that a song should be placed there. For example in posting {{song1}} would embed the spotify song in that spot, while posting {{song1 - youtube}} might embed the official youtube music video for that song (or the first result/most popular result). This allows users to post with the same idea as on steemit, but with a bit less thought and effort.

Benefits

The biggest benefit is internally for #nowplaying. If we are able to associate songs with users we can do so many more things for #nowplaying. Some possibilities include filtering the main playlist by only songs recommended by people you follow. We may also analyze genres and songs and artists, as well as see which users are posting the same artist/song.

For the user, they would have an effortless time posting their weekly nowplaying post. They would not have to worry about getting the title correct or the #nowplaying tag, as those will be taken care of automatically. The post will show up on steemit.com so there is no missing out there. Overall this should enhance the experience for everyone involved.
