Description:

ReactOS is a Free/Community/Opensource/Collaborative/Compatible operating system.

Translation's reason

ReactOS is a free operating system available for the community and it is based on the concept of open source.
It is a system that we could also define with two key words: collaborative and compatible.
Imagine if anybody could be able to run windows applications and drivers in an open source environment of a great reliability: with ReactOS this is possible, so, it is clear how this service can be very important for the community. In addition, another fundamental thing is that this operating system is completely free and the execution and the installation are very intuitive. The potentialities are various and they are sufficient to be considered valid reasons for translating this project.

Contribution Specifications

My job is to translate computer strings in the Italian language, where it is possible.
I would like to underline that some words will not be translated as they need to be kept in English.
All the special characters, numbers and codes that must remain like the originals one, will be removed from the word count.

Translation Overview

In these 1093 words I have dealt with various computer strings, useful and fundamental for the development of the project.
My work will be always to optimize the use of my mother language in the best way possible and to manage it as appropriately as possible for this project.

With this translation I have reached 87% of the translation of this project.
This time, I have dealt with some strings concerning the smart card, concerning the configuration about the router's IP address, the DNS and WINS addresses, the name and the password used by the remote router and the configuration of a connection using a smart card.
In addition there are nine strings concerning the encryption: what can happen to the server when the encryption is not allowed, what you have to do if the encryption is optional and if you will require it.
There are also 15 strings concerning the password like it's configuration, if you want to allow unsecured password and etc.

Here you can find some of the strings that I had to translate:

About the smart card...

You can use your smart card with this connection.\0
You can configure this connection to use your smart card to log you into the remote network. Select whether to use your smart card with this connection.

About the configuration...

Configure this router's IP address for this interface.\0
Configure DNS and WINS addresses for use by this interface.\0
A user account named %1 already exists on the local computer. Should the demand dial interface be configured to use this user account?\0
You can configure this connection to use your smart card to log you into the remote network. Select whether to use your smart card with this connection.

About the encryption....

No encryption allowed (server will disconnect if it requires encryption)\0
Maximum strength encryption (disconnect if server declines)\0
The selected EAP package does not provide encryption keys. Select an EAP package that does provide keys or select not to encrypt.\0
The protocols you have selected include PAP, SPAP, and/or CHAP. If one of these is negotiated, data encryption will not occur. Do you want to keep these settings?\0

About the password...

Configure the user name and password that the remote router will use when it dials in to this server.\0
You will need an account name and password to sign in to your Internet account.\0
Your password on the remote network has expired. Enter passwords, then press OK to set a new one.

Languages

The original strings are written in English and I translated them into Italian. I have been selected by the DaVinci team as a translator thanks to my knowledge of the English language gained during my 3 years of stay in London. You can read my application post HERE

Hi @viki.veg!

Thank you for your contribution.
The post is well formatted; for the next time I suggest you to expand a little the description of the work done. In any case, your explanation is synthetic but clear and well written.
The strings translated are very accurate and understandable, so you did a very good job!
