Making Steempi Easier For Users

i am writing this contributions to the SteemPi project in the hope it can help others and can help in making the new Live version of SteemPi become a reality for me and other people in African and the world!

introduction

When i first heard of the open source SteemPi project i decided it would be interesting to help, but since i do not have pi needed to find a way to make it possible to run SteemPi on my PC and i asked @Techtek for some help on how to do this.

What is SteemPi ?

SteemPi is a Tv-Box software that can be installed on a wide variety of single board computers such as the Raspberry Pi and Orange Pi, it presents Steemit, crypto currency, entertainment, and smarthome features on a connected TV and to your mobile devices.
and i could only detect that before using steempi we intending to use this as an open source have to undergo some process by installing so steempi files in the github using the link below and following the procedures

@Techtek explained me the option there are to install SteemPi on a Raspberry Pi and explained to me there is a other solution that is possible for developers to test and expand the system which are

• installing with the SDcard image (7+GB) which is a large files and few users will want to do this actually

• or by installing it ( > will download a lot less files

the other option is to only copy the Webinterface from the SteemPi github and run it local on your PC (this will not even need 50mb to download)
(and than you can try it without a pi computer as well,)
since i dont have a raspberry pi to try the first option, so i decided i would want to give the developers option a try on my system, i decide to go for the second option by installing it using xampp file by using this link to dowload xampp file.

and following the steps so i can make steempi eventually work on my pc.
if i run it, i will have a webserver, on the webserver i can than copy the SteemPi webinterface
and than i can use my internet browser to open the page but i wont have a Kodi mediacenter and a RetroPie game console, this is only for Raspberry pi boards.

so after i download the steempi zip file, i copied them to the root folder of the webserver

so i start the web browser by clicking the first 2 button on xampp (they are in yellow in the image below)

but it did not work out because it keep saying the program cant start because api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer. try reinstalling the program to fix this problem

This problem occur because of my not up to date window 7 and i have tried to update it several times but it did not solve my issue and the problem keeps occurring on my pc

so recently i saw a new post development on steempi saying

Making SteemPi available for everyone with a PC and USB stick (No Pi needed) here

reading through the post i detect steempi can eventually work for us after the long trouble we pass through, all we need is a USB stick and computer/laptop (no pi needed no windows needed)

If SteemPi can work with just a USB drive, it would be possible for me and many other people to work and improve SteemPi!

To every developer out there, you ideas is needed in making this a reality

Please can this version be make possible for us.
