Why I Think the Hunt Platfom is a Special SMT (My Hunt Platform Roadmap Review, Part 3)

The Hunt platform have been quite consistent with their road map. A lot of success has been recorded with Steemhunt being the most notable of them all.
Steemhunt recently announced an updated roadmap on the hunt token website. On today's series I'll be doing a personal review on the effects of each achieved target on the updated roadmap and how it has added positively to the growth and stability of the Hunt Platform.

The Hunt Platform Road Map

The Hunt token roadmap contains 9 targeted achievements. Four out of the 9 have been achieved in the year 2018. They were all divided into quarters of the year to achieve stability on the initial target before moving onto the next. Let's take a look at how far they have gone and how good they have done.

• LAUNCH OF STEEMHUNT.COM

If you have been following this series, my first blog post on the series talked about how steemhunt as a pillar o the hunt platform.Steemhunt is one of the branches of the Hunt Token Economy with the other two (reviewhunt and Ideahunt ) yet to be launched. Steemhunt was successfully launched in March 2018 by @tabris and @project7 with 20k steem. Then there was no moderation team, all you needed to do was hunt a cool and new product and get an upvote from the steemhunt bot. With time, the steemhunt platform has come to be well structured with 3 main features.

• The Moderation Team : These are mainly early adopters of steemhunt who have been positive in their contributions to the platform and now have been given the role to moderate posts that are eligible for an upvote from the steemhunt bot according to the posting guidelines .

• The Influencer Team: This was introduced to help promote more quality hunts to rank high on the daily rankings. The bottom three are replaced every week by new sets and a cool down period after for those who have been influencers up to 3 weeks. As an influencer, your user score is multiplied by 3 to increase your influence on the daily ranking of posts. Airdrops you receive for your voting contributions will also be multiplied by 3.

• Product Hunters : They are the backbone of Steemhunt. They dig out new and innovative products and talk about them on the steemhunt platform. This encompasses both the moderators and the influencers, no one is exempted from making a hunt post. In order to reward hunters, and avoid the use of ads, steemhunt adopted the steem blockchain works as to reward hunters in steem and sbd.

Steemhunt now have over 40k products hunted and over $150,000 hunter rewards generated. That gives an average of $3.5 on each post. This stat is enough to show the excellent reward pattern of steemhunt. Steemhunt now records over 60k Monthly active Users with an All time high of over 100k Monthly Active Users in October 2018. This is real growth for a project that is not up to a year. It shows that it is a project built upon it's community activities.

Steemhunt is now ranked in top 15 in the state of the dapps with over 2,200 global block-chain apps.

Substantial progress and interest in the platform is evident in the steem power delegated to the @steemhunt bot, with over 260 steemians delegating up to 1.7 million steem to @steemhunt.

• INITIATE HUNT TOKEN ECOSYSTEM BOUNTIES

This part makes the project special. Let's do a comparison here on why this makes the hunt platform special as compared to other projects on the blockchain. Most other airdrops require you to just do random bounties or some tasks to get rewarded with their tokens. This has lead to spamming and the use of multiple accounts by people who are not real adopters of the project which then leads to massive dumps once listed.

The steemhunt approach to bounties is quite different. It takes a real user base distribution pattern with 50% of the total hunt tokens dedicated to ecosystem and community building. On my last post on this series, I talked about the ongoing airdrops from which you can gather hunt tokens. You get hunt tokens based on your daily contributions and positive activities on the platform.

On steemhunt, you get hunt tokens for your ;

• voting contributions on steemhunt posts
• promotion contributions to the hunt platform
• As a sponsor (sp delegated)
• As a role contributor ( moderators and influencers)
• For your social shares to other social media

There was an initial airdrop for sp holders which was discontinued. For me, this was a nice step to ensuring that only active users on the hunt platform and real adopters get hunt tokens. This would have benefited mainly whales, as they would have claimed large amount of hunt tokens due to their large Steempower even though they are not active on the platform.
To add necessity to the acquisition of more hunt tokens ( thereby more positive contributions on the platform), your hunt stake now plays a major role in calculating your user score which in turn determines the level of upvote you get from the steemhunt bot.
With all these put in place in the token distribution pattern, your amount of hunt tokens would be a reflection of your contributions to the platform. Kudos to the brains behind this.

• LAUNCH BLOCKCHAIN ACCOUNT CREATION DIRECTLY VIA STEEMHUNT.COM
  This has successfully been installed on the steemhunt website. So new members who are interested in the community can create new steem blockchain accounts directly on the steemhunt. This has created a level of independence from Steemit Inc Dapp even though it is the number one dapp on the Steem blockchain.
  To combat the creation of spam accounts, the steemhunt dev team is running a whitelist/blacklist database and phone number verification API for Steem dapps.
  Recently, @steemhunt announced the release of an account claim script which will help steem dapps manage account claim efficiently while recruiting new users on the steem blockchain.

• INITIATE STEEM WITNESS NODE TO EXPAND COMMUNITY INFLUENCE

A Steem Witness is a person who operates a witness server (which produces blocks), and publishes a price feed of STEEM/USD to the network.

The steem blockchain has some bits of democracy as it is the steem users who vote for witnesses to pilot the activities of the blockchain. Steemhunt is currently ranked 37th on the top hundred steem witness list. Becoming a top steem witness will attract more steem users to the project therefore a bigger user base community. The Steemhunt dev team have shown great commitment in building a well structured Hunt token Economy. Four out of their Nine targets on the roadmap have been achieved with five more to go, which are;

• Create HUNT token wallet and initiate token listing strategy
• Issue HUNT ERC20 tokens and list on exchange markets
• Launch Reviewhunt beta version
• Launch HUNT token payment and exchange solution
• Launch Ideahunt alpha version with NFT feature support

We look towards these targets being met as it contains the core aspect of every project which is creating value for their tokens and listing on an exchange. A community of positive token holders have been created and thus, I see real value attached to the hunt tokens if listed.

On my next blog post on this series, I will talk about the remaining five targets in the Hunt Platform Roadmap. How they will lead to a complete and fully functional hunt token economy, each branch with their distinct usecase.

Summary

The Hunt Platform team are really doing a good work, even without a whitepaper, the roadmap is clear and the success being made is quite obvious. Here the core values of the project is based upon community activities which will most definitely lead to greater adoption.
