Travel Tales: Introductory Post - Ladakh 2013

in #utopian-io6 years ago (edited)

Hello Steemians, I had posted a trailer of my Ladakh trips and this time I will be reporting a day wise log from my ride to Ladakh from 2013.

Travel Dates: 25th May. 13 - 9th June.13

Facebook & Social sites are useless and contributes to cut you from actual world + Its the reason why kids dont prefer sports or outdoor activities.

Yeah I think like an oldie and proved wrong atleast in our case. FB helped me to meet like minded people. We all just met once before the trip; blame odd working shifts.

Rider 1 Deepak Kumar - Mr. RE on his Enfield Electra

I call him Mr. RE not because he works with Eicher Motors but because he is truly living the Royal Enfield life. Someone who doesnt take singles but believe in 4s & 6s.

All he need is the route. Doesn't matter if there's Road or No Road.

Rider 2 Deepak Gupta - @xtrememotoadv

Truly an experienced rider, spending much time with his gadgets (cam & lenses).

I somehow feel a photographer doesn't enjoy things the way others do. Reason? He keeps missing his cam or either missing moments cos he's busy capturing them. Most of us here knows him so not much intro about him.

Rider 3 Amit Nayan - IT Engineer - Poser baba as we named him. P220 again

A true rider, helpful, poser, restless. Have ample of titles for him but long story short - He made this trip fun.

A lot has changed since 2013 - i have been riding / driving for years (5 trips in 2017) and as time passes, Ladakh is becoming easier. Increasing tarmac and less challenging

Absolutely. Back in 2013 it took us 3 days to reach Manali (started from karzok with stays in Pang and Jispa) while now it's a same day affair.

Is Deepak the same who was a part of True Wanderers campaign by Wrnaglers?

Absolutely. Deepak Gupta - he manages a YouTube channel + steemit account by the tag @xtrememotoadv

travel is very interesting.i really like it.
