Travel tales from Ladakh - Teaser

in #adventure7 years ago

Last evening I was going through my hard disk and came across photos from my first Ladakh visit back in 2012.

I’ve been to Ladakh 4 times and trust me the excitement is still very much the same. While my initial thought was to post a photo-blog summarizing those trips however that won’t do justice to the moments I lived there.

Those who don’t know Ladakh – It’s a land of high mountain passes, lies between the Himalayas and the Kunlun mountain range at a height of more than 3,000 metres (9,800 feet). People call it a playground for Bikers which started making sense once I rode down from Delhi.

Posting trailer while I prepare for the main show:

Its just beautiful out here

Once a biker always a biker. Managed to break my personal best at the Magnetic Hill. The front wheel got stuck in mud while turning and i had no option but to drop the bike

Will be posting individually about my trips to Ladakh. While the photos are too many; sorting the best of the lot becomes a real task and will take some time

Indeed. All of them were different in one way or another

Nice pictures, loved the article :D

Starry Sky is mesmerizing.

thank you. If you are a star gazer than Hanle is the place to be

-15 man, that’s some serious achievement to be on a bike in that weather

Its like you are bound to shiver the moment sun goes off from your head. With 4 layers already; this was my regular wear during the trip.

Thank you Aditya. I was traveling Solo in 2012 and 2014.

Travelling throuth Ladakh and Himachal-pradesh was my favourite trip. A lot of emotions, stories, nice people. I wish someday i will return and take a royal Endfiled ride.

I keep going back to Ladakh for same very reason. Let know if you are heading back to India, I can arrange an enfield and ride to Ladakh
