Steemblr development update 02

Steemblr is open source microblogging platform written in javascript. It allows user to post and explore content which is smaller than a traditional blog.

New Features

Post date

This feature shows how long ago post was created.

It was implemented by using FormattedRelative component from react-intl dependecy. The main problem I encountered was that the component needs 'Z' at the end of the date to detect UTC time.

Blog page

Default view for user blog. Blog contains: user cover image, avatar, about section, name and user posts. It also allows to vote, comment and follow. To access blog user needs to click on someone's username in blog modal, hover, comment section, or simply enter https://steemblr.com/@usernamehere

It was implemented by using styled-components which will allow customization by user in the future, to create links which are created in a dynamic way I used react-router-dom.

Settings page

Easy to user dashboard which will contain options for user to get better experience from using website. For developer perspective its an whole scene where developer could easily add new type of options and options itself. It can be accesed in menu.

It was implemented by using styled-components, react-router and switch statement which allowed to load different components into view.

Updating post value after vote

Now when user will vote or unvote app according to his steem power, vote value and vote power will calculate how much should be added or subtracted from post/comment value. It was implemented by using steem-js and checking in utopian community tutorials how calculations should look like.
