The Crypto Renaissance - Exhibition in NYC [Steem Projects @blockmountain, @myach, @stach, @steemph.cebu, @urban-thinktank and Whisper]
Project Exhibition Boards
This month, the @sndbox and @creativecrypto design team are working together on an exhibition! We’ll be sharing mockups of our exhibition boards for Steem DApps and resources over the next several days. All of the graphics we create as a result of this exhibition (posters, infographics, icons, Steem explainer pamphlets) will be entirely open source and available for all Steemians to use for events of their own, apps, marketing and beyond.
This public exhibition will showcase the tools and resources built for creative professionals on the Steem blockchain and specifically how @sndbox members have integrated them into their practice and daily work. The exhibition will be open to all visitors for several weeks and serve as a free and public space for New Yorkers and others to learn about the Steem blockchain, the world of crypto, and immediately begin converging their creative work with the Steem ecosystem.

Steem-Powered Projects
As part of the show, a series of exhibition boards will showcase several Steem-powered projects that were part of Sndbox's first Cohort. Here are a handful of them, below:
About @blockmountain
A Community of Music Making through Steem-Powered DApps - Block Mountain is a creative group led by DJ Lethal Skillz, Scuzzy, and PlayItForward. This trio is in the process of developing the Steem blockchain’s first community-powered music album. The Block Mountain group assembles a collective of artists with talents spread across all different mediums through their weekly challenges and competitions.

About Whisper
A Blockchain-Fused Game of Artistic Telephone - Anonymous artist MrBlindDraw developed the Whisper Gallery as an artistic form of the game Telephone. With the #whisper hashtag, artists can call upon other creatives across the Steem blockchain to improvise on a previous art piece.

Steem-Fueled Community Action
Leveraging Steem to Cultivate Philanthropic Projects + Local Empowerment
- @myach (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) - is a community for crypto-meetups and educational workshops. Full of conferences, presentations and gatherings, this team creates an empowering network of trusted experts and resources. Leaders: @bitrocker2020 and @maverickfoo
- @steemph.cebu (Cebu, The Philippines) - is focused on local philanthropic projects and education. Recent campaigns include the World Food Day fundraiser. Leaders: @jassennessaj and @themanualbot
@stach (Port Harcourt, Nigeria) - is the first physical workspace powered exclusively through Steem. STACH focuses on cryptocurrency education, workshops and providing free wifi for the local Port Harcourt community. Leader: @ejemai
@urban-thinktank (Zürich, Switzerland) - is a research and development studio out of the ETH Zürich (Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule/ Swiss Federal Institute of Technology). The team behind their flagship project Empower Housing joined Steemit to raise awareness and Steem-power funds for new housing prototype strategy and community planning in South Africa.

Steem DApp Tower Installation
The DApp Tower is a 3'-0" x 3'-0" square base that rises 9'-0" into the air. It's the centerpiece of the exhibition. The installation will be an educational showcase for Steem applications, highlighting a handful of social applications built on the Steem blockchain. This post is an update surrounding the graphics we've produced and of the full "Tower" design to be fabricated. Boards on the tower include introductory graphics and language designed to help newcomers learn more about Steem. QR codes linking to each featured DApp. We're also very excited about our Steepshot Selfie Guestbook! Visitors will be able to log into Steepshot using a tablet connected to the @exhibition account. Our team will be upvoting the "guestbook" to help pay for the show itself.

These folders contain open-source assets (adobe illustrator files, icons and infographics) that will be used for The Crypto Renaissance Exhibition in New York City. These graphics were developed and used for signage pertaining to the exhibit and are made available here to the public to use under a Creative Commons license. All @sndbox content CC BY-NC-ND, 2018.
We've been extremely overwhelmed ever since we've been incubated by @sndbox as an incubator for communities. As one of the leading advocates of Steemit in Cebu, Philippines - your support on our communal account @steemph.cebu was very important to our growth as a community. You were one of the reasons why we were able to launch programs (World Food Day Fundraiser, Gift Giving Day, Steemnulog Day, Gigantic Meetups.
With @sndbox, we were able to host a lot of contests that focuses on distributing rewards to the community.
There were alot of things that I learned so much in my journey as a @sndbox'ian but I think the best thing that I love so much about you guys (@hansikhouse and @voronoi) were the coaching and mentoring sessions. Cheers for the greatness!
The Cebu + Steemph community as a whole has been an incredible precedent for others, with so much community action and exciting initiatives at every corner. We're very lucky to have connected with you. @jassennessaj, your team has done all the heavy lifting! Steem on :)
