RE: Remove Spyware: How to Uninstall Webfetti Adware? A Step-by-Step Tutorial to Remove Webfetti Using HijackThis

Hi,
I reviewed what you did very carefully, and this is what I noticed:

  • you first forked HiJackThis to https://github.com/dragokas/hijackthis , you are the repo owner
  • I am not sure if the original HiJackThis is open source or closed source, and if it is legal to fork the original repo and then commit new code to your own fork (parts maybe were not Open Source and therefore building on that is not legal, free != open source. But, I am not accusing you right now, but I am not sure either;
  • you already did a tutorial about your HiJackThis 19 days ago: since your program reports application registry components, and it's used to unnstall programs, of course writing multiple tutorials per program to uninstall is nonsense because it is a trivial task. Therefore this tutorial is too similar to your previous tutorial about the same HiJackThis Fork
  • we do however at Utopian also have a rewards system for developing / contributing code to Open Souce repos. That even would pay you far more than writing tutorial posts;
  • but that of course first needs to be legal: you cannot just take another closed-source repo, fork it, and then say it is all open source. But I want to discuss this with you.

Concluding:

  • this tutorial is rejected and don't add new tutorials about the same repo for they are too trivial;
  • contact me on Discord to see how you could or coould not be rewarded for contributing / developing your own repo.
