Ilyushin Il-76MD Development for FlightGear

Introduction

FlightGear (http://www.flightgear.org) is an open source flight simulator that is even used in flight schools to train basic maneuvers, radio communication and navigation tasks. It is available for windows, mac and linux.

In this article I want to introduce my development of Ilyushin Il-76MD.

Development steps

I impoved this aircraft from the official version to a new variant MD. With full instrumentation, animations, 3D-model and FDM it is now a beauty on the sky.

My last commit improved the cockpit on 5 instruments, so that the lamps are now off if the battery is off. The engine smoke is modified to a more realistic one too. New version number 4.0.2.
