  • Gridcoin (GRC) is a decentralized, open source cryptocurrency which is developed by Rob Halford in 2013.

  • It was created by Berkeley California University in 2002 to provide incentives to the BOINC (Berkeley Open Infrastructure for Network Computing) system, which was initiated in order to carry out various scientific researches. In this way, each user included in the system is rewarded with GRC as much as the amount of processing power of the computer.
