I only have 3 muted after 18 months of use - so that's not too bad!
No that's not.. I guess you have to at some point. A lot of idiots here also
I was one of the first users on minds.com and initially it was something like this, with great posts and open hearted/minded people... Then once it got mainstream exposure it got quickly dominated by low quality crap for the most part.
Well that's how it's always been..

I'm not sure the problem with minds was due to money, it seems to have just been that 'the masses' found out about it and wanted to have an uncensored place.. Unfortunately, they were talking shit for the most part.. lol. Steemit appears to be more balanced currently, but it remains to be seen whether the money from 'the masses' will make things worse or whether the steemit process of valuing posts and reputation will keep things in check.
I really hope for the latter
