Actifit Fitness Tracker v0.1 beta - Development Contribution

Introduction

Couple of days back, I introduced my new SMT-based project via the official account @actifit, you can see the post here
This is my development contribution related to the project of release v0.1 beta of the android app.

What is Actifit?

For those who haven't heard about the project yet, Actifit aims to reward fitness activity via enabling everyone (who owns an Android phone for now) to easily and seamlessly track their daily activity step count, and post it via the app onto Steem blockchain.
We officially released version 0.1 beta of the app, and made it available on playstore for download

Technology Stack

The project is built on Android native (Java), utilizing Android Studio and SQLite db for storing on-device information.

What is in this version?

• Automatic tracking of your daily steps, displayable on the main screen. Keep in mind daily steps are zeroed at 00:00
  

• Steps history view of your daily total steps
  

• Ability to post your activity to the Steem blockchain. You need to have an account on steemit.com. Posted activity is viewable on steemit.com.
  

Roadmap

We have tons of exciting new features for Actifit, both as an Android app and as a project overall.

• Adding an image upload functionality to the app
• Adding calories, distance, GPS, and time tracking
• Enhancing tracking experience via adding sensor level control and sensor switching mechanisms upon availability
• Clearing post information after submission
• Adding a forget credentials (user and posting key) for removing user account info off the device (it is not stored anywhere online anyhow)
• Adding capability to store and track age, weight, measurements and progress
• Graphics based and look and feel enhancements
• Creating an iOS version (highly requested)
• Creating scripts for ACTIFIT token distribution
• Creating actifit.io official website for post and token tracking

You can chat to us on the official actifit discord, or to me in discord private @mcfarhat#6013. Contributions are accepted as pull requests to the official github repo
I will be hopefully issuing a series of Task Requests via utopian, this could involve development work and other categories, so stay tuned :)
