RE: Weekly overview of the bug-hunting category- week 66, 2019

in #utopian-io6 years ago (edited)

I have a question ,suppose an open source projects app is in still development not pushlished in playstore or other plateform but i can produce the app and can run successfully,in this situation if i found a bug or other issue, can i submit bug-hunting contribution in utopian.will it approved for review?

Sort:

No they don't necessarily have to be on playstore, it could be on the github releases page.

Also, we only allow tests on projects in their beta phase, alpha releases will not be considered .

Finally, reports to projects outside the white list will have to be acknowledged by the PO's or project maintainer before they can be reviewed by the utopian team

thanks then the project should have the last commit before 6 month or more?
or what is the max time for last commit to follow utopian guidelines?
@fego

It is usually 6 months but I think the best thing to do is - make sure the repo is actively maintained before contributing, Moreover, utopian will only review your contribution if it is acknowledged by the project maintainer
