Hello @harry-heightz. Thank you for supporting the knacksteem project with ideas to improve the user's experience.

• The auto-tagging feature is already on our todo. We have a mockup in place on how it is going to look like when implemented with the categories listed on the side nav bar. Displaying the category detail on mouse hover could be an issue for mobile users as you've mentioned in your proposal, but a better solution to this could be a popup displaying the about category and users can then easily click on "X" to close the popup, and continue with their contribution. Please refer to the mockup below showing how the category list will looks like.
  

PS. The first and second tag (knacksteem and selected category tag) will not be displayed on the tag section but it will be there after a user publishes their post by default.

• The category template feature is indeed a cool feature, and we will look forward to implementing that.
• I agree with your point about replacing the pen icon with "New contribution," as that will make that feature more recognizable.
