Suggestion; Add category templates to post editor and implement auto-tagging on Knacksteem.

Components

Creating and submitting contributions on Knacksteem can be made easier for contributors. The feature I'm suggesting will affect post creation and submission on Knacksteem.
Currently, there are no category templates to aid users to contribute properly to Knacksteem. Furthermore, after a user successfully creates a post, he/she has to input the category tag manually.
My suggestion is the implementation of categories templates and auto-tagging feature on Knacksteem.

Proposal Description

Knacksteem is a steem dApp with a peculiar front-end. According to the project owner, the project's idea was initially inspired by utopian only with a different purpose. However, the project was then developed from scratch. There are some ideas that can be borrowed from the Utopian's former front-end, which is the availability of category templates on the post editor and, auto-tagging.

Mockups / Examples

Currently, the Utopian front-end is unavailable. I have not been able to get an image of the post editor while it was functional. However, here's a close example of how it looked like.

The above screenshot displays the blog category template on Utopian. This is provided with the aid of Steemplus extension.

However, these templates were delivered without any aid on Utopian front-end and the method of delivery can still be applied on Knacksteem. But, with the exclusion of inputting a Github repository, since Knacksteem doesn't deal with open source projects.

This is the current post editor on Knacksteem.

Firstly, it would be great if the pen icon is replaced with a "new contribution" text instead. Like this;

This helps create a consciousness within users that, they are not just creating a new random post but it's a contribution to the Knacksteem community. It is weird psychology though.

Secondly, when a user clicks on "new contribution", the text editor doesn't pop-up immediately. Instead, the available categories on Knacksteem are displayed. To make this more user-friendly especially for new users, it'll be great to provide information about the category entails, when they hover the mouse against the category icon. This might be a task to implement on mobile phones but, developers will always find a way.

Here's an example of how it could look like;

Pardon the use of this image as a mockup. Maybe it can be implemented this way to suit both PC and mobile phone users. Because this way, information of what the category entails is available, and users won't have to hover over the category icon to know what it is all about. I would ideally have preferred a single icon of each category though, with colors. The hovering feature makes it more classy IMO.

I already created this mockup image before I thought about this. It will be great to encourage users to read the category's guideline before they create their contribution.

The next page that pops up after the user clicks the category they wish to contribute to is the post editor. Now, having selected the category in the previous step, the post editor will automatically be delivered with the category's template on the post editor. Furthermore, the post will be automatically tagged.

For example, a user wishes to make a contribution on "art" category, after following the processes I already outlined, the post editor will be delivered like this;

I have zero ideas of the content of the categories template the project owner will implement. So once again, I used the blog category template of Utopian.

I inputted the category tag manually although, it suggests the available tags a contributor should use. But an automated entry is the best way.

Benefits

The benefits of this feature cannot be overemphasized. Anyone who contributed on Utopian while the front-end was available can speak of the importance of this feature. The benefits of this feature are;

1. The ease of creating and submitting a contribution.
2. The part where users can get information of a category is important for new contributors. Especially when they stumble on this page, rather than the landing page where they could have gotten information about the project's category and other information.
3. The category template will not only be valuable to contributors, but it will also make the work of moderators(mavens) and supervisors easy.
   How ?. Without a template, the contributor might make a mess of his contribution by an indecent arrangement of his content. But if there is a template he/she can follow, the contribution will be organized. Thus making it easy for the moderator(maven) to also review properly and score accordingly.
4. Aside the ease this feature will bring to user experience, it will also affect efficiency and speed of making a contribution.

These are the four (4) benefits this feature can bring if implemented on this project. While I have stated just four (4), I'm certain that there are more advantages and benefits of this feature on a project like Knacksteem, having already experienced it on Utopian.

I hope to see this feature implemented really soon on Knacksteem.
