RE: All Steemit Alternative Interfaces Are a UX Nightmare. Steem Needs a URL Protocol Handler
I actually suggested this idea myself before utopian existed: https://steemit.com/steem/@jefpatat/can-steem-it-survive-its-problems
Other interfaces could as well strip the steemit.com part and replace it. This is not an idea for condenser but for the blockchain or an alternative interface. Can you change the project?
Considering that Steemit is an app in itself, the project should be the Steem blockchain then since it seems most appropriate long-term solution? I can live with that. I think I make that clear in my post.
https://github.com/steemit/steem then, any consensus on that as best location for this idea/request?
And glad to see I'm not the only one experiencing this as an issue. :)
I agree to that one. It would be the best place to solve the issue I think.
Please make the change as suggested and let me know in a reply so I can approve your entry.
Apologies, I didn't know you are a mod. I thought you may have commented from another interface. Utopian needs an identifier (tag/badge/label) for that.
Done. :)
Good idea. Thanks. I will discuss that in the team.
Sorry I am not familiar with utopian - are you guys on another UI/forum?
Hey @ecosaint,
Utopian.io is a new vertical built on the Steem blockchain which aims at midterm revolutionising open source software by rewarding contributors, bug reporters, and even promoters.
Currently, it is an interface to Steem with many advanced features. You can find out more at Utopian.io or by following its founder @elear.
If you're into software or internet tech, keep an eye on it as Utopian may be the most disruptive thing in tech [especially to Github] since... Github.
Very cool! I'm checking it out right now!
I went to the site https://join.utopian.io/
I choose to sign in thru Steemit, & all it did was take me to the Steemit index LOL
What am I doing wrong?
I am not a techie by any stretch, but I'm not a novice to sites, applications, computers, etc. & I happen to be very good at finding bugs & telling sites when there's bugs.
If the site pisses me off enough I start blogging about ALL their bugs b/c if it's a site that charges money & they go overseas for their programmers, I get really PISSED off that they hire people who don't know WTF they are doing LOL
