yeah that's often the hard bit but simply put you have lots of receivers of aerials in a network and each one is meshed to the next one, think of piggy backing someone, where as the piggy backing (carrying someone on your back) is you are giving the next cell or mesh receiver internet, the 'backhaul' or the source could be miles away, but it allows everyone to effectively receive internet from a source potentially better and less traffic shaped, slowed etc, putting internet and faster speeds in the hands of those with no access -- the steem part was how do we then add incentives on a street by street level to get people not only onto steem to help cover the costs of installation and education, know your neighbours better but take better stewardship of your block or area, bring in sharing economy ideas etc -- money for the main feed could be brought in by a similar way witnesses work here on steemit.
