New logo proposal for ML Manager app

Hi Guys!

Today, I would like to propose a new logo for ML Manager app, which is an open source app developed by Javier Santos V. at Github.

The inspiration:

For this logo design, I took the inspiration from the original logo which are: "android icon" & "box or package", this became my starting point. Starting with the two original elements, I developed the design by giving the "box" a 3d form look and colorizing it. The colors were based on the color wheel complimentary bold color set. This is to make the logo more inviting & engaging for the prospective users. Aside from the logo, I added another element which is the "gears" to represent the mechanism and the intended purpose of the app.

The workflow:

Allow me to show you how I came up to my logo design. First, I began using Autocad to draft my initial design. At this stage, I created rough shapes with grid pattern to complete the template of the logo.

Upon completion of the template, I imported the draft sketch to Photoshop. I utilized pen tool to create the vector shapes and colorize it afterwards. At this stage, I made adjustments and fine tuning to improve the draft sketches of the logo.

After completing all vector shapes, I then finalized the colors of the logo and make few fine tuning on the design.

Once again, I present to you the ML Manager logo with varying image resolution:
