Translation report part 2: OroCRM (1022 words)

This post is published in relation to the @utopian-io & @davinci.polyglot translation project, by a selected Translator for the Italian language

Project details and translation's reason

OroCRM is a modern and flexible open source system that facilitates the relationship with customers. It allows you to control your client relationships through a single, easy and intuitive location. The strengths of this product are many:

  • It guarantees an easy and immediate synchronization of customers and their profiles. This means that we don't have to handle the problem of data duplication and their consequent complex management.
  • The product is completely open source.
  • OroCRM facilitates all stages of the sale, leading and facilitating you at every moment of the sale, making sure that the marketing and sales targets are maintained in the most profitable possible way for the user.
  • It allows numerous possibilities of analysis, one of the most interesting features is the "magento" function, an important extension of the shopping cart that will limit the abandonment of the customers without having purchased.
  • In addition, OroCRM has an excellent and convenient dashboard that increases understanding.

All these points, and other motivations have given me the impulse to translate this project. I also strongly believe in the values of mutual aid, and in the concept of open source.

My role as a translator remains unchanged and consists in translating in the most appropriate way possible. In this specific case I have to translate computer strings. The translation is from my Italian native language into English language. Symbols and special characters are not considered in the count.

Translation Overview

This is my second post for the translation of the OroCRM project. In these a thousand words, we have dealt with numerous strings concerning numerous issues related to OroCRM customers and users. Numerous strings have outlined the client's salient details, such as structuring email addresses, telephone contacts, address books and other similar parameters. The project runs through numerous strings of various kinds through the various issues that will configure the future interface, focusing also on the purely aspect of the sale, both billing and orders and their shipment.
This whole thing, as mentioned previously in the explanation of the project, is made to simplify the life and to catalogue both the customers and the users of the program.
This open source system is all designed to give maximum performance and maximum optimization of the working time and of the working flow.

Excerpts of my work

Below I propose some significant strings that help to better understand the work that I have done translating these 1000 words:

  • Details regarding the sales phase:

Frequency value is the number of orders placed by the customer in the last 365 days. More orders means better score.

Create segments of abandoned shopping carts in OroCRM and link them to MailChimp campaign automation
