Promoting Steemit Through #Project20millionNaija: The locations, the people, the videos, the pictures and the progress reports..

Hello everyone. I have been pretty engaged in promoting Steemit since I joined and I have through the STACH platform used the #Project20millionNaija vehicle to introduce no fewer than 300 persons on the Steemit platform since October 2017.

What is #Project20MillionNaija you may ask? This is project was incubated as a means of getting at least 20million Nigerians on the Steem Blockchain by 2018 to participate actively in blogging and investment. So far, we have been recording phenomenal results and the figure looks achievable.

Steemup Delta- Christmas Special.

The SteemUp Delta Christmas which is a continuation of the #Project20millionNaija campaign landed in Delta State after having toured, Ibadan and Kaduna. The Meetup was a crowning to the awesome year we have had campaigning and creating the Steemit Enlightenment in our communities.
RESULTS.- This campaign was a success as we recorded the highest number of Steemians traveling from various cities around Nigeria to attend and contribute to make the event a success.

STEEMIT UYO MEETUP.

This meetup was held on the 16th of December 2017. The Uyo Steemit community is the fastest growing in Nigeria and we have been so happy to be associated with them which is why we just recently make payment for an Accelerator Hub that will provide Blockchain education, free WiFi and Electricity.
RESULTS- The meetup and campaign was well attended as you can see from the picture and video in the post below. There are presently over 60 active Steemians in Uyo and more than 100 registered.

STEEMUP KADUNA.

The #Project20MillionNaija campaign took it one step further by hitting the Northern parts of Nigeria with the Steem bug. The event was organized and hosted by @Michaelcj, @Nmalove and @Casweeney.
Kaduna State is in the Northern parts of Nigeria and we decided it was only fair we reach out to them and enlighten them about Steemit, and enlighten them we did with this campaign.
RESULTS.
This meetup had the highest number of attendees in all the events I have attended around Nigeria. I have not yet seen a crowd in attendance that rivals this one. It was a crowd made of Students who were hungry to find a way to online freedom that will help them become better people in society through their active participation in community building.

And we had over a dozen Steemians already resident in Kaduna.
We had over 40 persons who logged on to the Steemit.com website to register utilizing the Free WiFi as provided by @stach. @Michaelcj and his team are presently following up and onboarding these new users as they are approved.

#PROJECT20MILLIONNAIJA VIRAL CAMPAIGN.

This is where it all started from. This was that viral campaign that saw us giving away over 200SBD to participants who used their various social media platforms to introduce their friends and family to Steemit and we have had no fewer than 70persons registered through this campaign.

The viral campaign is the first of its string of campaigns that has swept through Nigeria in various outreaches that you can see in various Nigerian author's page.

These events were not without their disappointments and fails, but we did have successes that are verifiable. We started out with the viral campaign and since then it has been a whole lot of activities for the communities.
We also presently have 2 Hubs located in Nigeria where we help newbies get acquainted to the Steem Blockchain and everything decentralization.
It is our hope and plan to have series of Hubs around the African Continent where the creative commons will be able to have the opportunities they so deserve to be themselves and add value to society.
