WHAT IS FetchMyPendingPayout?

It is the most simple app with the widget.
Many of you noticed​ that I wasn't on Steemit last week, I engaged myself with the hard work and some life circumstances​ prevented me to spend time online. But I managed to figure out the Steemjs API. I am a noob, this is a big thing for me. I succeeded to pull some data from​ a user's recent post. This is not an ​app that will ask you for your keys or passwords, this is a simple application for monitoring your pending payout - WITHOUT EVEN UNLOCKING​ YOUR iPHONE!

That's the magic of widgets!

First, install this single view app and just write down your Steemit username (or someone else's, you can't harm anyone by using this app). When you tap on the "return" button on your keyboard, the app will fetch the data from your last post. If the most recent post on your Steemit blog page is resteemed content, it will show data for that post.

The app will show you these few things: your username, the original author's username, the title of the most recent post and the pending payout for that post. The point is that the app refreshes itself​ constantly and provides you with correct information very quickly.

But this is not about the application, it is about the widget!

If you have an iPhone, then you know how to turn on the widgets. Swipe right on your Home Screen or on your Lock Screen and scroll down, the iOS will offer you to turn on or of some widgets. You'll see the list of the apps that have widgets and FetchMyPendingPayout is one of them. So when you turn on the FetchMyPendingPayout Widget, it looks like this:

Each time you visit this widget, it will give you the latest information about the pending payout for your recent Steem post. It is very easy, practical when you don't have any time, or​ when you are not at​ home. Your iPhone's screen can be locked but the information of your pending payout is still available to see.

When you want to monitor someone else on your widget, just go back to the app and change the username. And that's it!

This was my first time that I used APIs, custom frameworks, ​and pods (SwiftyJSON).

I was learning how to make this type of tool step by step, it took a lot of time for a noob like me, so this is a huge step. This app is small, easy and practical, I will ​use it for sure and I hope that there are more Steemit users that will find this tool useful.

I am still fighting to create the Android version of my camera app SteemShutter, so I started the same with FetchMyPendingPayout. I hope I will finish them soon.
