Introduction

I was curios to see the numbers from this analysis. Actifit is having a good run these days. The number of users is constantly growing, the delegated SP is also growing. In the last few days the numbers are even higher.
Let’s take a look at some Actfit data for Q1 2019😊. Previous analysis on Actifit in 2018 can be found here.

Since the launch in 2018, Actifit has been growing steadily month by month. The growth seems to be picking up pace in the last period. It is an easy and simple to use app. Probably the easiest way for a new user to enter the Steem ecosystem. Install the app, record your activities and paste it as proof on the Steem BC.

Starting from March 2019 Actifit have made it possible for people to trade tokens for upvotes. This has increased the interest in the project even more. You can trade a max of 20 tokens daily and receive an upvote worth 0,036$ per token. They have also made a first ever ISO (Initial STEEM Offering) with the help of Steem Engine.

I’m a regular user of the app with my alt account @dalzphoto.

Scope of Analysis

The analysis was carried out for the period from 01.01.2019 to 31.03.2019. Data from the Steem blockchain was used and details of the queries can be found at the bottom of this post.

Data for the Q1 2019 period will be presented on the number of posts, comments, delegations, votes and top users.

Actifit Delegations History

Actifit is a community driven project. The project doesn’t have a main delegator with a single massive delegation, but more than 600 users at the moment delegating to Actifit.

Here is a graph on SP delegated to Actifit.

As we can see the delegation started from July 2018 and continued to grow till this date. By the end of the first month Actifit gathered around 70k SP. The delegations continued as new users come on board and the old one increased the delegations. At the end of the year Actifit have around 275k SP delegated, and by the end of March 2019 it has almost 400k SP. Since this analysis is for Q1 2019, the April data is not included. There was significant growth in April and at the time of writing the @actifit account already have more than 500k SP. Next stop a million 😊.

As already mentioned @actifit is a community project and have a lot of delegators. Here is a graph for the number of users that delegated to @actifit.

Here we can see an almost linear line of the number of delegators to Actifit. There are around 650 users delegating to actifit at the moment. All the delegators receive AFIT token daily rewards.

Activity on Actifit

Activity on the platform is in posts and comments. Actifitters post their activity as a daily post. Later they get upvote from Actifit as a reward and AFIT tokens. Post reward depends on the User Score and the Activity. With the exchange option introduced they can get additional reward on top of that.

Posts and comments can be made from the other Steem interfaces like Steemit, Partiko, Busy, Esteem etc. Because of this, two sets of data for activities were analysed. The first is showing all the post and comments with the actifit tag, and the second one, is for the posts and comment made only with the actifit.app.

The total number of posts and comments is show in the chart below. Data for each day was collected and presented on this graph.

The total number of posts and comments on Actifit in Q1 2019 is 108.332, out of which 59.283 posted from the Actifit app.

The upper line represents the activities count with the actifit tag, and the lower one with the actifit.app. As expected, the overall data containing the actifit tag have more activities that the posts and comments made only through the Actifit app. The difference is quite significant. Obviously, the users are editing the posts in other Steem interfaces and commenting from there as well. This is expected, as from experience I’m doing the same as well.

On the activity side we can see a steady grow trough this period. The year started with activity count per day below 1000, and the end of Q1 there is around 1500 post and comments per day. It is a nice increase in activity of 50%.

Posts and Comments on Actifit

As mentioned, activities on the platform are in terms of post and comments. The number of overall posts and comments with the actifit tag is taken as relevant and presented.

Below is a breakdown of posts and comments and their movement in Q1 2019.

The total number of posts with the Actifit App in Q1 is 37.996, and the number of comments is 70.336.

The upper line represents the number of comments and the lower one the number of posts.

Not all the post are daily reports on activity since there is posts just related to actifit, but probably more than 95% of the posts are activity reports. On the comment side, the @actifit account is making a comment when rewarding the users with upvote, so large parts of the comments is coming from them.

Here we can see a similar pattern as in the overall activity. Nice and steady growth.

Actifit Votes

As already mentioned, Actifit rewards its users with a vote from their account. They vote on all the posts that will have 5000 and more moves. Here how that looks in the period analysed.

The total number of posts voted from Actifit in Q1 2019 was 30,918, with an average of 344 posts voted per day.

Here as well we can see that the number of daily votes is growing through the period. This is understandable because we have seen growth in the number of posts as well. More posts, more votes from Actifit. There is a couple of missed days in the period analysed, probably due to technical reasons, but overall it is a job well done.

Number of Monthly Users Voted

The number of Actifitters that received a vote from @actifit is an interesting to follow.
This shows how many users @actifit supported with their vote. Below is a chart with number of monthly users that received vote from Actifit.

A total of 1548 users received a vote from Actifit in Q1 2019.

Here as well we can see that the number of monthly users supported by Actifit reached its maximum in March 2019 with a 1114 users voted. Here as well we can see a growth in the number of monthly users voted in Q1 2019, after the small drop in the end of 2018.

Average Vote in %

Actifit is voting with difrent vote weight on the posts. Below is a chart of daily average vote in percentage.

The daily average vote in Q1 2019 is 4,62%

The vote depends on the SP the account holds and the number of posts. Since the SP is increasing in the period analyzed the actifit account is lowering the voting power.

The days with spikes are days when there is not much of voting happening, and when there are 2 or 3 votes in that day, that increase the average. Actifit is doing a great job in the distribution of the votes.

Number of Unique Users in Q1 2019

Actifit has been doing good in this period. It is expected for the number of users to grow.

Below is a chart with the number of unique users that posted on Actifit in this period.

We can see a very clear up trend here. If we add the unique users from 2019 the number will be even higher. New users constantly keep coming to Actifit in this period. This is more than the average trend in this period. March seems to be getting even more traction and the number of new users is increasing even more. This trend is expected to continue in April as well.

@alokkumar121 with 274 posts and comments is on the first place, followed by @blueeyes8960 on the second and @thereikiforest on third place.

Another way to rank users is by the number of votes they received from Actifit.

Quite a close race here with all the top Actifitters around the 90 votes mark. It makes sense since these are the number of days analysed, and all them have been regular.

Conclusion

Actifit is showing a serious number of activities and growth in the user base that seems to outperform the standard increase in users just because the price is up. The delegation is also constantly growing, reaching 400k SP at the end of March and more than 500k in April.

A total of 108.332 posts and comments were made on Actifit in Q1 2019 from 1.703 users. Actifit voted 30,918 times, supporting 1548 users. The top users have more than 100 posts and comments and received around 90 votes from Actifit.
